I understand your approach and respect it, Patters.

The part that troubles me though, is that we are talking about a candidate who is portrayed as a breath of fresh air, because he is not an establishment candidate, because he is principled, honest, and trustworthy.

And yet Obama cannot even be honest about who he is.

The man's school registration records clearly state that he was Muslim.
He had a Muslim upbringing.
Why deny it?

I am not a practicing Muslim but I was born as such and have never denied how I was brought up. I am proud of my Muslim / secular parents who were no different than those of my Jewish, Catholic, Protestant friends' when I was growing up.

Denying how you were brought up, does not make one a credible candidate, in my eyes.
Just the opposite.

This denialist approach, wipes out that whole carefully crafted image of his of being a new kind of candidate.
Beacuse of this, he is no different than Hillary, certainly no better. He is just another liar that will say whatever we want to hear, and we will believe him because we are so darn desperate for that kind of a candidate.

He's a mainstream candidate, nothing more, who relative to some others is a breath of fresh air. He's running a political campaign, and his moves are calculated to appeal to the broadest swatch of voters. Only minor candidates have the luxury of being completely honest.

Do you have a link showing that? I would think he would bring it up now only because the Republicans are sure to use it against him later on.

Why aren't Muslims and Liberal Democrats outraged at Obama for being ashamed of his Muslimiteny why isn't he appealing to the Muslim Community to get out there and vote for him, why aren't there any prominent American Muslims supporting him, where is Mohammad Ali, why is Obama ashamed to speak of his Muslim background, why are Liberals ashamed of his Muslim background, the liberals who attended the College speech that the little Creep from Iran gave loved him they all stood up and cheered, why don't they support Obama, is it because Obama is trashing Muslims by distancing himself from them, why is this kid with the big ears insulting the Muslim community by hiding the fact that the Muslim Religion is a big part of his life, isn't he afraid they may want to "behead him".

Many bigots and hateful liberal democrats look down on Mormans and I am no Romney Fan but Mitt Romney stands right up front and defends his religion in my mind he is a far bigger man than that sweet talking little phony Obama.
