Default Who you got, Hillary or Obama?

I'm interested in the response from both sides, here is a link detailing why I as a Republican would want to see Hillary be the nominee rather than Obama.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/ar...idential_poll/

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton tops the list of "anti" candidates in a poll that asks Americans who they would most want to keep out of the White House, The Washington Times reported on Tuesday.

Forty-percent of Americans said they would vote against Clinton, a New York Democrat, according to a Fox 5-The Washington Times-Rasmussen Reports poll."

I just think she is SO unlikeable it would be an easier path to the presidency for the Republican nominee. Any other Republicans feel the same way? What about Democrats, assuming it is a 2 horse race, would you prefer Hillary or Obama? (Yes, I know there are a lot of people out there that would say neither, but if you had to choose, which would it be?)

I prefer Obama to Hillary, though I think Hillary has the better chance of beating the Republican nominee. I support Obama over Hillary because she is too moderate on the Iraq war, flag burning, security, and some economic issues. I know conservatives like to portray her as some wide-eyed liberal, and I used to think she was, but she's not. The only thing she's liberal on are social issues.

I'm not too worried about her negatives. Most of her negatives have been manufactured by her husband's rabid opponents, and I think when people see her they will quickly realize that many of the complaints about Hillary are exaggerated. In fact, it could even cost elements of the right-wing some of the little legitimacy they have left. The reason I think Hillary might be the better candidate than Obama is that a lot of people like Bill and his record is remembered fondly; she is a moderate, and the right-wing has very little to show otherwise; she is a machine candidate, so would have organizational advantages over someone like Obama.

This opinion by Neil Cavuto sums it up well to me, and even if you think he is the antichrist, this isn't standard neocon rhetoric, its non-partisan.

Obama is calmly ascending to the nomination. I doubt he relies on "handlers" as much as his own sense of "Holy SH-T!...I can pull this off!" Clinton's machine is too loaded with back-stabbers and media whores the likes of which we haven't seen since George Snuffeluppagus.

Obama's the Republican party's worst nightmare. His inexperience is not relevant in modern politics. Candidates don't debate such trivial things as experience and policy and the media people never give it a thought. If they did, Joe Biden would be ahead by 30 points.

Image (cool, toughness, confidence, looks) is everything, and Obama has it all over the rest of the field, repub and dem. Hillary Clinton has no control over her campaign staff, how's that gonna translate to the White House staff? Things like that will be her undoing. That and her voice!

Rudi will not be able to survive the hatred his own family has for him and those photos of him in drag really freak me out...not because cross-dressing is offensive to me or I think it's wrong, but this guy should've known better even if he was just the mayor at the time. His poor judgement in personal matters is alarming and puzzling and the imagery to most Americans will be tough to write off. Believe me, if he's the nominee, they will be all over the TV and internet.

Romney's a cool customer, but he seems wooden and unlike any other human I've ever known. "Stepford husband" comes to mind. An autopsy of him will reveal some internal cybornetic devices where his internal organs should be. His Mormonism won't matter to most, but to enough who think his religion is cultish, strange, and kooky will have it in the back of their mind. Being "religious" is not good enough to the hard-core Christians, Catholics and Jews in America. You have to be the right religion. Hell, even Pagans and Muslims are "religious" but so what?

Huckabee cannot be POTUS because he doesn't believe in science.

If we lived in a rational society, Biden would be president. I'm a Ron Paul guy.

BTW, did anyone notice the absence of Kucinich on the NPR debate...the one with no audience (which should be the law, IMO)..? Is he out?

That sums it up very well wistah, like it or not running for President is a lot like running for class president in grade school. The popular kid usually wins and does nothing, while the nerdy overweight kid that lost would probably have done the best job for the class.

And yes, I'm waiting for Romney's hair to blow aside in a heavy wind one day revealing a bunch of metal and wires underneath, and this is coming from someone that likes the guy!

Think of the people running, and then consider how flawed they all are. Hillary is so detested for what she is, a fony & fraud, that 45% of the public won't vote for her. When people say "anti", that means they'll vote against her, as opposed to for somebody else. Coke or Pepsi at it's best. That's why Giuliani prays he faces Hillary should they each win the nomination. His negatives will be out weighed by Hillary's anti's. Obama would crucify a guy like Rudy, but how would he do against someone like Huckabee? Someone with as positive a manner as his own, but with the experience of being a governor? What about McCain in all of this, should he somehow win the nom (doubt it)? Hillary would probably smoke Huckabee with her establishment campaign versus' Huck's bible boppin, cross floating platform. This election is all about match ups. Certain candidates would mop the floor with others, while they'd get run over by somebody else.
