Rumack: You can't take a guess for another two hours? The casting effort in the film Airplane was top notch, using mostly character actors in comedic roles. Robert Stack, Peter Graves etc... But the standout was by far Neilson, who went on to build a comedic legacy starting with Police Squad, and then the Naked Gun films. ....nice beaver! |

Too bad to see such a funny guy have to face what we all have to face.
At times like this, its nice to not be a judgmental person. Lets face facts, Neilson was your prototypical Hollywood wife swapper, having been married and divorced to 4 different women. As I see it since there was never any sign that he was rough on any of those women, its none of my business I just wonder how all the social conservatives can justify mourning him.

One of the "good ones" out there in Hollywood, RIP. I thought this was one of his best lines, he was visiting OJ Simpson in the hospital after OJ had been dragged through the city under a car and he said "I have some good news, we saved your leg, it's downstairs in a barrell in the Mortuary"
