If you make a statement and people don't understand what you meant to say (which is obviously the case here) then you should put your pompus arrogance aside and consider the notion that the fault is yours and not ours.

Did ABC run the Palin gaffe as their lead story, for example? Come on, it was a "national headline," I'm sure you can find a prominent clip about it on ABC's main news program.

What are you talking about? I gladly admit I misunderstood whatever point it was you were trying to make. And, as we saw, I wasn't the only one. When someone makes a statement and the first two people who reply didn't understand the message as intended, chances are the fault lies with the writer. But only your pompous arrogance keeps you from realizing that.
