Could someone please reconcile the following for me?
"The woman who checked me reached her hands inside my underwear and felt her way around. It was basically worse than going to the gynecologist. It was embarrassing. It was demeaning. It was inappropriate." - ABCNews employee

Re: Thanks for "fixing" the Constitution, Crackhead!
Actually, a lot of liberals are with you on this one Wolfie; I've been arguing this issue in a liberal forum, and I'm very much in the minority.
I think the prudishness of our society is ridiculous. If experts have decent evidence that this will make things more difficult for terrorists, then I don't care if they touch the outside of pants and get a little close. What happened to the ABC news employee was apparently a case of a rogue or incompetent employee. Personally, I'd prefer the electronic body scan, but I guess some people would rather be touched.
For me, the biggest issue is how do we respect the dignity of the disabled with this kind of intrusive search? I'm not sure there's a way.
Re: Thanks for "fixing" the Constitution, Crackhead!
I find it interesting that time after time read where the right is bellowing and clamoring how Obama is woefully not doing anything to protect this nation, and now this.. and they still complain.
There has to be a better way, but OTOH cannot have it both ways..

I'll make an official announcement right here...if any TSA person puts their hands INSIDE my underwear, I guarantee you I'll punch them in the mouth. If it's a woman, she'll just get a hot slap in the face.
All joking aside...I am dead serious with the above statement. No one is going to put their hands INSIDE my underwear unless I want them to.
Does anyone know if it's legal for them to do that?

By the same token, if this policy was instituted under a Republican administration, we would have the Left screaming that it was the start of a police state and the brownshirts had arrived.
If someone can tell me another way to detect these explosive devices without being as intrusive, I'm all ears.....Until then I'll let you know how it goes in three weeks when I fly to St. Louis for the Rams-Chiefs game with my son .

Yeah, its tough to say what the right thing is. The only thing I'm 1000% sure of is that I don't want to go back to the security level that permitted Sept 11.

This is pretty outrageous if you ask me. I'm seeing pictures of little kids shirtless, and reading stories about women being groped. WTF brought all this on anyway?

And I love how the left spent the period from 2001 to 2009 telling us all how George Bush was violating the Constitutional rights of each and every single one of us and making like we were living in a police state, but then they give Obama a free pass even though things have actually gotten worse.

Rams-Chiefs? Yuck. I'm sure being molested by the TSA will be the best part of that trip.
I actually got lucky. My family made plans to go to Seattle-Tampa Bay day after Christmas so a whole bunch of us are going with all the kids. When we bought the tickets before the season began it looked like a real clunker. Now it looks like some big time playoff implications will be on the line!
