Default What Republicans Plan To Do For America

So much to choose from, yanno? All those things they've based their candidacies on. Creating jobs, fixing the economy, lowering taxes, shrinking the govrnment, straightening out healthcare, protecting us from terrorism, assuring us our freedoms, straightening out the school systems, balancing the budget, working to either strengthen Social Security and Medicare or abolishing them, closing our Mexican borders....and what does the Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell promise to make their "#1 agenda should they gain the necessary seats in The House and The Senate to be in a position to give Americans what they need and want? What, exactly, are Americans going to get if they vote Republican tomorrow? What is it The Republicans hope to achieve?

"The single most important thing we want to achieve," he said, "is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

The GOP could use some adults

The guy's a tool. What else should be expected though. He's part of the problem. He's the establishment. I hope and pray he loses when his time for re-election comes. These self-centered, power hungry, used car salesmen need to be kicked right the **** out of office, and onto the street. I heard one of the AM radio dudes, forget which one (one of the WRKO AM shows), say that John Bonehead sent word out to all the potential GOP first timers, that they don't need to hire staffers of their own, cuz he has plenty for them to hire when/if they get elected to office in DC. Um, the whole point is to rid ourselves of the establishment vermin that has occupied government for too long. I honestly hope and pray that the new blood sticks to their guns, and demands that government shrink in size, and spend less. I said this in 2006, and in 2008. I said that I hoped the new dems going into DC held firm, and wouldn't tote the party line. Unfortunately that hasn't been the case, and the result is another 180 degree swing this time around. If these new members of the legislature rubber stamp the republican establishment's agenda, they too will die an ugly death. I have some hope that the Tea Party movement will demand that the GOP fix itself. That if it does not, it will hold the party accountable, and possibly move to become a 3rd party in some form. I think there is a lot at stake in the next 2 years.

Anyhow, McConnell is a tool. I hope he loses when his time for re-election comes. All these clowns must go.

Didjaknow that John Boehner played golf 119 times last year, yes Virginia someone does keep track of that sort of thing.. he has a nice tan though.

This planned action is a nice follow up to their leader's comments, Rush Limbaugh, "I hope Obama Fails"... even though we all will fail if he does...

Not for nothing, but his comments can't help but lead one to assume that he will be shaping policy to hurt Obama, as opposed to help Americans. His words exemplify all that is wrong with government. The people want to be heard, and want their interests served. They don't want more of the same. This guy should be fired!

the Tea Party wants people who will reduce the size of government. Many republicans don't want a smaller government they are part of the problem. Tomorrow is a first step.

We see that republicans like Rove and other establishment republican fear the Tea Party candidates only a bit less than the dems.

Thats the most important issue to deal with today in America, Get That Friggin Obama out of the White House, America needs a real president not some floppy eared sap that can talk pretty and is a Poster Boy for the slobbering wine and cheese ding dong liberals, and when they kick Obama's a$s out they have to make sure that Windbag Biden goes with him.

If you really believe any of this regurgitated bullshyt, then you do not understand where the power in this country lies and how the power in congress really works.. in reality there may be something like 10-15 tea partiers voted in, that is not enough to make any significant change.. they will not even make much noise...

There were great hopes for Scott Brown, then the money started to roll in and he became the them he warned you all about...

Hearing these sorts of things, coupled with the barrage of attack ads, which don’t tell me what a candidate stands for or what they would like to do, only what they person they are running against did, makes me very sad to see the current state of our politics in this country.

So, if I am reading your link correctly, in roughly a day, the Rs, who could gain some serious seats in congress (not saying it is a good or a bad thing, simply an observation), have a higher level party member state that their biggest goal is to ensure Obama is a one-term president? Wow!!! How about a plan to tackle anyone of the issues you mention above? No??? How about if I say pretty please?

How did they (Ds and Rs) get so lost? And it isn’t just at the National level. Right here in good ole' Massachusetts, with jobs leaving by the boatload, unemployment high, taxes going up, school funding going down, and the housing market (which was over inflated to begin with) basically crashing to the ground, with all that going on, one of the big laws which was pushed through this year was.....(drumroll).....you can no longer say Light/Medium/Menthol etc. on a package of cigarettes.

Phew, glad they cleared that up, because for a minute there I thought the light version of the 3000 chemicals in cigarettes were somehow healthier than the full dose....
