Default Tea Party Tundra Troubles

So, should Joe Miller have to answer questions about his background or not?

Forty members of the Alaska Republican Party have signed their names to a letter urging tea party candidate Joe Miller, who is running as the GOP nominee for Senate in that state, to begin answering questions about his own background and qualifications for office, the Anchorage Daily News reports.

"It is unacceptable -- and certainly not a winning strategy -- to explicitly refuse to answer reasonable questions about oneself, and to disrespect the Alaska public and the press' right to do so before the questions have even been asked," the letter, which was signed by members of the party's central committee as well as other GOP officials, stated.

At issue is the media's attempt to find out more about Miller's time at the Fairbanks North Star Borough. After Miller's personnel file was leaked to reporters, it was learned that Miller had violated the borough's ethics policy and was nearly fired as a result of conducting political activities on computers belonging to the borough's other employees. A judge in Alaska is expected to rule this weekend on whether the public is entitled to know more about what is contained in the file, Anchorage Daily News reported.

Miller should focus on issues of jobs and the massive deficits and not be distracted by smears from the Murkowski RINO's.

All the statist have right now are smears they can't discuss their voting record and policies that are being rejected by the voters we see this nationally.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

Let me ask you this, then. Why did/do people focus so much on Barak Obama's qualifications, Ted Kennedy's history or Robert Byrd's personal life if, as you say, they should only have focused on political issues?

And a second question: How do we know the charge is a "smear" if it's not refuted?

13 won't answer these questions, he doesn't care as long a Miller is elected. Its been proven already in his support of O'Donnell when Her back ground was brought up he said he didn't care as long as she was elected. All 13 cares about is lower taxes, and its not like hes rich and going to lose a large amount of money. He belongs to the something for nothing crowd. Doesn't want to pay taxes but wants all the benefits that taxes bring.

A little on Miller's qualifications from his website:

Quote:
Prior to becoming an attorney and a judge, Miller served as an officer in the United States Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his leadership in combat during the First Gulf War. He received his commission from West Point, where he graduated with honors. Joe is also a graduate of Yale Law School and holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Alaska.

Sounds more qualified for senate than BO was for the presidency. He would vote to defund Obamacare reduce fed spending and taxes, I wish I could vote for him.

He doesn't attend fundraisers hosted by domestic terrorist and attend a church headed by a racist BTW.

And the worst part is, they'll see nothing ironic in still attacking him. Wasn't their whole point of the 2008 election cycle that experience DOES NOT matter?

The statist cannot run on their record or policy positions, so smears and mudslinging are all they can do. This is happening nationally see the Paul campaign for example.

I love how Murkowski is now considered a RINO.

Today Murkowski, tomorrow.... DeMint?

The thing about Miller is that, aside from being another garden variety tea party kook, is that he's a massive hypocrite.

Wait, the Alaska Republicans are asking a guy how he is qualified to run for office? Aren't these the same people that gave us Sarah Palin?
