I'm not so sure I agree. I did a Wiki check, and Dewey was a federal prosecutor and district attorney for several years before becoming governor of NY and winning the nomination in 1944. IMHO that trumps being a "community organizer" and state senator plus 4 years of voting "present" in the U.S. Senate.

Statist makes no sense in this context.. did Erik provide you with the word of the day?????.. not sure it is even a word..

Statism (or etatism) is an ideology advocating the use of states to achieve goals, both economic and social

Nah.

I'll just resort to your tried and true tactic: if you're really so ignorant of basic history, I shan't be taking the time to educate you. Go pick up an American History 101 textbook, you just might learn something.

You would think that, obviously, since you actually seem to believe Senators can vote "present" in the US Senate.

Wow. It's been a long time since I made someone look so foolish so easily!

Of course, as usual, you're not even man enough to admit you were wrong.

I'm very knowledgeable about American history, and that's how I know you're wrong. I challenged you to put up or shut up, Jack, and you weren't man enough to do either of those things!!

Well I stand corrected! I had a brain fart, I was careless in my sentence and my post and I apologize for my error!

(See how easy it is to admit when you are wrong about something? Someday you may realize that when you make a mistake the easiest thing to do is just man up and admit you made a mistake. But you, with your childlike mind, can't even realize how you look so much more foolish when you defend an incorrect statement than you would just by saying "my bad").
