The letter tells the emplyer that the employee is not being properly credited with his witholdings and that they should attermpt to rectify the situation. Of course, the emplyer knows the numbers do not jive because they knwo that ll or most of their emplyees are illegal.
ICE usues these letters as basis for warrants and to begin investigations into employers. New regulations that will begin once the 9th circuit is overturned for the millionth time (funny how the AFL-CIO is going to bat for illegals and the employers who profit from them, and not the workers they are supposed to be representing, how anyone can pay union dues is beyond me, they might be the most single corrupt entity in this nation) the emplyers will be held criminally liable for thier actions if they do not take steps to correct the decrepancies with their SS numbers within 90 days.
This ruling is single handedly allowing employers to maintain hiring illegals with impunity, and the 9th circuit and the AFL-CIO are all for that.
