Facing an uphill re-election battle in exactly one month, Gov. Deval Patrick is refusing to say how many illegal immigrants are receiving health insurance, ignoring Herald requests since early September.
“It’s no wonder he doesn’t want to tell taxpayers how much of their money is paying for illegal immigrants’ health care,” said GOP rival Charlie Baker yesterday. “Gov. Patrick has spent the past four years looking for ways to give illegal immigrants in-state tuition and drivers’ licenses, and now he refuses to sign on to a program that would take dangerous criminals who are illegal off the streets.”

People like Apple and Patters do. Unfortunately, there are a lot of them in this state. Too many. This state is filled with a lot of takers, recievers, and people without a clue. Every so often enough of us working class providers get together to push an election in our favor. I'm hoping this is one of them.

Not in this state I'm not. Are you from Massachusetts Strudel? Are you 30 or older, and living on your own? Do you know what the party breakdown is in the legislature (there are 5 republicans in the senate, and 15 in the house)? Do you pay property taxes to support the six figure cops, six figure firemen, and the five figure per pupil annual cost of publicly educated student? Please explain to me how voting republican in Massachusetts isn't in my best interests, if I'm a working class taxpayer.

Because Republicans oppose progressive taxation either shifting the burden of supporting infrastructure onto the middle and working class or reducing infrastructure that also tends to benefit the middle and working classes, all the while working to support policies that support the wealthy and corporations that through consolidation and offshoring eradicate American jobs. Because Republicans sink the public into debt to pay for trumped up nonsense wars rather than at least spending that money on the people. And yes I pay property taxes and own a home. Because Republicans destroy access to education for people who can't afford private colleges by working to cut or eliminate funding for public education. I want good schools in my area.
I mean, I could go on forever, but if it's not obvious to you it probably never will be.
