Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday.

Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.

One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.

"Gimme a break," said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualising children called Kids Free 2B Kids.

Yeah, I saw that today. He's also supposed to lose weight, as fat Santa is probably riddled with high blood pressure and possibly heart disease or diabetes.

I would say they're attacking the symptoms and not the problem, but they're not even attacking symptoms. They're attacking meaningless facets of a symbol, once again relegating personal resposibility by saying, "if Santa does it, the CHILDREN WILL DO IT!"

That's not half as offensive as Kermit-the-Frog when he greets someone and says "Hi ho!"

Thats what Ho Chi Min's wife used to say to Ho when he came home from the Rice Paddys.
