Supporters say it was a worthy fight. But after eight full months of aggressive campaigning and millions of dollars spent on the battle, the voucher law was rejected by Utah voters.
Opponents are relieved. And while some voucher proponents say they are at least satisfied with how far they had come, others say the 62 percent vote that defeated the private school voucher law — which lost in every county in the state — is a disgrace.
"I'm ashamed of Utah that this could even be a close vote," said Patrick Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com, who has donated millions of dollars to support vouchers. "This is parents looking at their kids getting a third-rate education and other kids getting basically a death sentence and saying, 'That's OK by me

Re: Red State(Utah) defeats Voucher Question on Ballot....
The left wing politically correct suck and f-ck Hollywood communist democrats are scared to death of losing control of the brainwashing agenda that they are using to gain control of our childrens minds and turn them into little socialist progressive liberals.
The rich R & D politicians all send their children to private schools, but the filthy swine don't want you to do it.
If you can find it possible Home School your children and get them out of those public zoo's.

The subtle irony of this issue is that this is one where much of the typical democratic base stand in opposition to the party platform.
In otherwords, if we went into the inner city, poor minority neighborhoods you would see people voting 98% democratic... but these same people are also the ones most likely to support school vouchers if given the chance.

I didn't know the left wing voting establishment was so prevalent in Utah.

Neither did I this country is so screwed up now you never know whats coming next and of course many right wings must of voted against vouchers to get this outcome, maybe they haven't experienced as much of that Politically Correct Left Wing Crap that is now going on in other states.
Many of the smaller towns in Maine still have the old time basic common sense teachings (the three R's) and they still have halloween & Xmas partys but the Crap is Creeping in, Portland has overnight become a "Little Frisco" and they just made themselves heard around the world with their "Birth Control For 11 Year Old Girls", I wonder what the dippy looney bastards will dream up next.
The only hope we have now is that Islam will take over and kill all these whacky bastards.

Is this another throw it against the wall and see if it sticks, or do you have anything credible to back it up???

It's called being educated and informed. You should try it sometime. Or perhaps you're afraid you might learn something..?
Provide a credible link, or shut up.. it is that simple.. for someone who is educated and informed this is an easy task.. if you don't it will be dismissed as another Rush talking point.

Re: Red State(Utah) defeats Voucher Question on Ballot....
Someone told me recently that today's school system is a modern day form of communism with every child skyrocketing to mediocrity at best.
Cant afford to go on a field trip? Dont worry, the rest will pay your way
Cant afford to play sports? Dont worry, the rest will pay your way
Cant afford to quit smoking in order to have money for your child's lunch? Dont worry, the rest will pay your way.
Have a child who is overachieving? Dont worry, the rest of the pack will catch up with him/her as we ignore them in order to focus on the sped kids who are mostly behavior kids instead of retarded kids these days.
