Re: Sarkozy storms of CBS interview, calling it "stupid"
Interesting words.
Before he broke off the interview, Sarkozy was asked about what he would like the American people to know about him. "I want the Americans to know that they can count on us. But at the same time, we want to be free to disagree," he said. The comment apparently referred to France's opposition to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, a stand that until recently had soured relations with Washington.
Sarkozy said he admired Americans' work ethic and the opportunities for advancement in the country, irrespective of class or background.
He said while his Hungarian father had worried that his surname would be an obstacle in France, "he was proven wrong."
"That's what he thought. That a name like Sarkozy was a handicap," the president said. "That's the reason why I like the United States. You can have a name like Schwarzenegger and be governor of California. You can be called Madeleine Albright and be secretary of state. You can be called Colin Powell or Condi Rice, and succeed."

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." Sarkozy walks out on Liberal Leslie (Skinny Legs) Stahl, I too am falling in love with this guy he doesn't give a ***** for any of those whacky loons, CBS is going down the toilet so fast it's hard to keep track of them, their left wing liberalism is now so obvious that it is completely destroying them.
Leslie Stahl, Dan "Rat Face" Rather, Cute Perky Katie and Wally Cronkite should all sail off in Cronkites Yacht and let the US Navy use them for target practice.
The insanity that GW Bush has created in the democratic party will send another Republican into the White House in 2008, the democrats are now in the process of self destructing, they have an 11% approval rating

when this is proven untrue, will you promise to go away? will you promise anything? a retraction?

that would be Congress overall, not the democrats... nice spin, however...
anyway, the only reason it's so low is because Congress has not done enough (anything) to oppose the Bush Doctrine and the American people are disgusted about that after voting for change...

And the only reason the Dems took over Congress is because the propagandists, like James Carville and Paul Begala, whipped up the voting public into blind rage at "evil Bush"; only now that they got what they wished for, they realize what we all know: there is NO easy pat solution. Wholesale troop pull-outs while the nation is in virtual civil war only gives the guys with guns -- ie, the hoodlums, thugs, and terrorists -- control of yet another nation in the Middle East. And nobody wants to be blamed for that, not even knee-jerk anti-Repub Democrats.
So now they get to stew in their own juices. Kind of like Eric Mangini.

if that's what you honestly believe is the "only reason" the Dems took over, you truly do live in a dream world...

that's not what you asserted... don't change the argument... get back to your assertion, and tell us again "the only reason" they were elected... otherwise, get back tothe point of the thread, and stop bloviating about nothingness...

But, you see, the way the Hannity's of the world spin it, they crop the true story, without actually lying.
They will say something like this "The democratic controlled congress got an 11% approval rating."
And it is true, but the way they worded it, it gave the impression that only 11% approve of the democrats...Hannity is an expert at "cropping"
And, of course, the brain dead electorate falls for the garbage.
Less than half of 45% is 22%. Combine the two and you still don't get 11% approval rating. Even if you say Repubs in Congress have a 0% approval rating, saying Dems have a 45% means that congress should have a 22.3% approval rating, which they don't.
