anyhow, George Carlin is no longer a comedian, but a cynical misanthrope who has given up on humankind and religion altogether... it is sad, but you can understand a lot of his motivations... still, he's alienating a lot of his audience that grew up worshipping him... however, i doubt he gives a shyt...

Years ago, I said to my wife that I worried about Carlin's sanity because he saw things for what they really were. He has been progressively deleting his social filter safeguards as he gets older. He will be increasingly isolated for saying what's on his mind, because that seems to be getting darker and darker. I could see him doing himself like Hunter did.

I still like Carlin. I don't agree with a lot of his views but they're still funny. Same with music, I love a lot of music from people who would make the Liberals here seem Conservative; but I'm listening to it for something else.

Saw him on HBO last night for a few minutes. Must've been his latest show because he looked very old and bent over, angry, not happy at all, and barely funny. People go to Carlin shows for the same reason they go to see B.T.O....so they can relive their youth. They're disappointed to learn that their old gods have faded just like themselves. Better to go home and listen to an old LP like "CLass CLown" or "Physical Grafitti"
