Soon You'll Have To Ask Permission Before You Fly

'Under the TSA's "Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) initiative," you'll need to obtain permission from the U.S. government to travel on ANY commercial airliner or ship that goes to or from the United States. You won't receive your boarding pass until you are cleared by APIS.

You'll also need permission to travel through the United States (e.g., if you're changing planes at a U.S. airport on a trip between two foreign countries). It doesn't matter if you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Everyone will need permission to enter - or leave - the United States.'

Do I have to debunk everything you post...

APIS has been in effect for over a decade (CLinton Administration started it). All they do is check the passengers against NCIC, and a federal lookout database. So say you are "wanted" you get arrested, or perhaps you are on the terrorists watchlist, you get detained.

The second one, is also nothing new, you need a visa to enter the United States, yes even in transit, always have, always will. I'm sure you would be happy to have a bumnch of terrorists land at O'Hare from France and since they said that they were going onward to Canada, they don't have to go through Immigration, just let them out into the country.

You really have no idea how the world works do you?

Um, that's kinda what already has been going on all along. Think about it... what is a U.S Passport..? A U.S. Passport is formal permission from the United States Government (State Department) to travel to another country. You don't have any sort of Constitutional or God-given right to come and go.

Now, obviously, they have made the rules more stringent over the past few years, requiring passports now even for travel to Canada.
