If I have to pay reparations, I should be entitled to a slave or 2. Especially a nice hot female one. Yowza Yowza!

LOL, their reparations are that they're in the best country in the world as opposed to the mess that is Africa.

Dont forget Affirmative Action and the double standard that they can say anything controversial whereas if a whitey does, they lose their livelihoods. (Hello Imus?)

I'm sure that anyone would trade Affirmative Action, and the double standard in exchange for never having been a slave, or discriminated against. I don't think people look at it and say "hey, thank god we've been treated as sub humans for centuries cuz now I get to score an 80 on a test and be a cop". I see what you're saying in that through slavery, african americans are now here, and not there in Africa. However, that benefit doesn't come close to covering the pain and suffering over a couple of centuries.

That's a truly bizarre comment. You seem to be saying that blacks should be thankful for slavery. The slave trade was a key part of destroying Africa -- creating 9 landlocked countries, borders that cut through tribes, depopulation in what was the slowest growing part of the world, installing awful governments in many countries. If slavery had not happened, Africa would probably be in far, far better shape. In addition, there is much of Africa where the quality of life is good. True, if you measure quality of life by health care and longevity, you have a point, but measured in terms of family and community closeness, there are many African countries where people enjoy a good quality of life.

Do you have a Wikipedia link where they said that? At any rate, as you know, Hitler did get into power legally through a messed up democratic process, but secured dictatorial powers through violence and intimidation.

I wonder what Oprah would be doing today?

Seriously it's pretty hard to even debate Slavery, anybody who finds or even tries to find the real truth on how slaves were treated are immediately accused of being Racist, the History Changers want us to believe that there wasn't one single "happy slave" in America they want us to believe that there wasn't one good White Man that owned a slave, the image we have of Slavery is the Drooling White Man With The Whip Beating His Slaves All Day Long Then Raping Their Women At Night.
Slavery was a way of life in many country's many years ago, at the time it was accepted, they saw nothing wrong with it and many slave owners treated their slaves like family,
(your not supposed to believe that).

Slavery is wrong because one person should not "OWN" another person when decent compassionate people realized that, Slavery came to an end in America, there are some who will never let it die though they feed from it, they use it to disgrace America and further their own agenda's, they don't want it to die and fade into the past where it belongs, in a way these people are glad America was involved in slavery, they use it.

Do you know that the Disney Movie "Song Of The South" was taken off the market, not to be sold, shown or rented because it had scenes in it that had "Happy Slaves" sitting outside at night after working in the fields and they were actually Singing beautiful music.

That movie can be bought on the internet, it comes from England.

Now I suppose I'm in for some outraged bull sh!t.

You can make whatever argument you want about what Africa would be like had slavery not happened. However, while politically incorrect, I think it's very true that the descendants of slaves are better off now than they would be had there been no slavery and they'd stayed in Africa.

Tell you what - go buy 100 one way tickets to Africa, head down to L.A. and see how many people want them (they have to use them if they take them). How many takers are you going to get, do you think ?
