Claudius Benson, a ninth grader at Old Redford Academy in southwest Detroit, hasn't had a haircut in 10 years because of his religious beliefs.
"This is not about a haircut, it's about our deeply held spiritual beliefs," Alecha Benson, Claudius' mother, told FOXNews.com. "These are strongly held religious beliefs that we have had in practice for much of my son's life."

You would be the first to say that the Moonies should be tolerated, however will criticize this young man's beliefs. Many feel the moonies are cults, and if you were criticized for the way you recruit breeders and marry them off to the pedophiles... you would defend them relentlessy. You need to be consistent in what you believe and what you do. You can't expect tolerance for the Moonies but, then preach intolerance for another religion.. you are indeed a delusional fraud.

As an atheist, I'm tired of all the religious nonsense since it usually accompanies all sorts of prejudice, intolerance, and other narrowmindedness. I think the ACLU should find better things to do.

Not all religions are good. Some worship Satan, some say one must use "ganga" (marijuana) as part of their sacrament, others say people should have no limits on their sexual activities, no allegiance to their spouse or children. Some mail-order houses were offering "ordinations" in "religions" that believed nothing; it was only a piece of paper to get certain privileges and benefit that genuine religions had suffered to earn. Such "religions" are not serving the public good but only their own self-centered desires.

So now you can be judge and jury also.. the standard then is marijuana and limited sexual activity.. how about arranging marriages for young maidens to the pedophiles of the Moonie church? Does not that disqualify your church and put you into the same group as the ganga sex fiends??
Both your religion and the Rastafarians are relatively new in the grand scale of things religious, in viewing both I like the rastafarians more than the moonies, as the former seem to be more tolerant and peaceful.. but bottom line is religious extremism is a very bad thing.
