Hillary is becoming more and more of a slam dunk each day to win the nomination (not that it was ever much in doubt for the intelligent amongst us). As a Republican, I am very grateful for this because she is the one democrat we actually stand a chance against.
About a year ago, I was quite adamant that B. Hussein Obama wouldn't run this go-round. It was clearly the stupid thing to do... why alienate your own party's "first family" in a hopeless crusade...?
Obviously I overestimated B. Hussein Obama's intelligence. The man is either a complete moron, or the people advising him are complete morons (or, perhaps, all of the above). He didn't exactly commit complete political suicide but he certainly torpedoed any chance at higher office he ever wanted.

Sort of like Reagan did when he ran against Ford in '76?
It's going to be Giuliani versus Hillary, and we'll all be dumber for it. Why? Cuz it will be the nastiest, mud slinging, dishonest, FOS, spin machining, BS election of all time.

I am not so sure Guiliani can win the nomination, but I do think he's the Republicans' strongest candidate in the general election. The dems are terrified of the notion that he could sneak in and steal NY right from under their noses. If a Republican takes NY, you can go to bed early on election night because it's all over but the concession screech.
Pant Suit Hillary is the best thing that ever happened to the Republicans, Hillary will win the nomination and that is great then all the republicans have to do is keep showing her picture over and over, show all the pictures of her screaming shreaking and waddling around grinning and clapping her hands trying to tell us all the wonderful things she is going to do for us, show pictures of Billy Blue Dress biting his lip standing beside her looking like a big f-cking goofy hillbilly, the pictures will do it, the Republicans will win the election by the biggest landslide this country has ever seen.
The Clintons:
Dear God, will these two annoying white trash ever "go away".

The main reasons Hillary has a good chance of winning is (1) The Republicans have alienated Independent voters, (2) Bill Clinton is still enormously popular and everyone knows with Hillary in the White House, Bill will be involved and help fix the economy, (3) the right-wing will almost certainly go overboard in attacking Hillary and help fortify her support. I think all the Republican candidates are weak, and will have trouble unifying their base. In fact, the Christian right is considering fielding a third-party candidate if Giuliani gets the nomination.

It's still a long, long way away, but as of right now, it's his to lose. I could live with him, but his skelatons are a little rough. At any rate, the reason why it's his, is because he doesn't need the early states to make noise. H'es got name recognition to survive Iowa and whatever. Rudy is going to clean up the following set of primary states like NY, NJ, Florida, etc, and will be the nominee. It's mathematic as of right now.
I've been saying for a while now that who wins in 2008 will come down to match ups. Rudy has a real good shot versus Hillary because his negatives will be less exploitable because of Hillary's. Plus, Giuliani could legitimately steal some blue states. His negatives may, and I stress may, not matter as much as elections have become a vote against someone, and not so much a vote for. People may not like Rudy, but they might vote for him because of Hillary. Just my 2 cents at over a year away.

Actually I disagree with you here. I think that she is the most formidable political enemy for repubs. She definitely knows how to play the Washington game better - IMO - then some of the other nominees like Obama. Plus... for whatever reason I can't get a grasp on, people are actually supporting her ?

That could all very well be true, but you forget how many people actually dislike the idea of 22 years of a Bush or Clinton, and how high Hillary's negatives are. There are a lot of people who simply do not like her.

She's not a perfect candidate by any means. In fact, I don't really like her. I think she can overcome her negatives, because really there's not a lot to be negative about. When I've asked people what they don't like about her, they typically talk about her insincerity (which is no big deal for a candidate) and her health care plan (which is much less of an issue, now that Americans are more open to the idea of national health care). Otherwise, she's obviously very smart, very well spoken, tough, tested, and mostly moderate, which is good for a presidential candidate. I think she has an excellent chance of winning, though, that said, there's still a long time before the general election, and if we attack Iran, all bets are off.
