Default OJ Simpson out on bail?

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- O.J. Simpson walked out of the Clark County Detention Center on Wednesday after paying the $125,000 bail set earlier in the day.

125,000......

WTF is going on? Was the judge not around for the bronco chase? This dude should be held without bail.

They probably don't want all the media crap they would have to adjust to if they kept him there.

OJ is toast. The only money the Goldman family can't touch is his NFL retirement, and OJ will need to dip into that for more attorneys' fees. He is probably getting pretty tapped out. Last I heard he had about 8 million. According to pretty good sources he did many autograph shows and walked away with a briefcase full of cash and no other paperwork to reflect the income.

The only people who hang out with him are hangersons and low-lifes. The attorneys to get him a reduced sentence will cost him. They have indicted him on eight felony charges including the one for kidnapping that carries a life sentence...that will surley get lessened to something much less.

OJ might have been set up, but why did he go along with it? OJ thinks he is above the law and can use street justice to settle his accounts. Doesn't work that way, OJ.

As he was found not guilty in those murders, you cannot use previous non-convictions as a standard for what happened yesterday. As much as we would like a pound of flesh right now, the JP probably researched all of his options here and came up with what looked like a fair standard. If he were to overreact, he would loose eventually anyways and then when trial came the issues would once again become muddier and divert from the actual issue of the allegations committed by him. Interesting, he has also drawn the interest of the IRS as the tape reveals the "victim" speaks of setting up overseas accounts for OJ.. this guy will hang himself, he is an arrogant murderer.

Remember it was tax evasion, not murder or conspiracy that brought Al Capone down. And the IRS loves to nail celebrites for tax evasion,,usually around tax time as a deterrent to others.
IIRC, bail is just to determine whether or not you are a flight risk. The judge took OJ's passport to prevent him from fleeing the jurisdiction. He probably feels that he 'beat the rap' for a murder charge times two so he'll beat this also. The difference is that this is NOT LA and the times are different. If the evidence is solid, he may residing in Harris County, NV for a long time. Somebody should tell him that the saying, "What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas" is only an ad campaign and not to be taken seriously.
The most interesting part of his bail arrangements was that he is NOT to have any contact with his codefendants. Usually they can plan a joint strategy for the defense. This tells me that the prosecutors are hoping to make a deal with one of the codefendants to flip on OJ and testify agaisnt him like the Feds did ni the Michael Vick case......
