Default Republican Debate last night

It was a lively one I thought. Nice exchange between Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee. But as it was going on I agreed with what a lot of the focus group after said. John McCain came out looking good. Rudy Guiliani was awful.
Romney looked like a slimeball.

Guiliani, when asked by a voter about family values and his personal life, instead of standing up for his framily, he sounded worse than Bill Clinton basically saying in a most defensive way, "look what i did in New York, what does my private life matter"

hes going down early. no pun intended.

What the hell is Ron Paul doing up there with all those Neo Cons, he sounded like he was auditioning for a job with Al Franken, he even looks like a sniveling liberal, he should be working for Pant Suit Hillary.

I was playing poker and missed it. I'll see if it's on youtube later or something. I've been watching all the Dem and pub debates.

I didn't see it either. I've been apathetic to all of these debates, from either party (though I follow politics pretty fervently). Unless there's a democrat that comes out of nowhere, I will not put a check next to Edwards, Clinton, or Obama. If the Democratic Party would put up someone remotely moderate, I would pay more attention to them. Now I just have to decide whether I want to vote for the Republicans that are nominated.

i agree (although i didn't tune in at all) I did catch the tonight show that Fred Thompson was on....he may have actually gotten my vote; he seems to be a strait shooter, we'll see what happens

I missed that too. I wonder if that is on Youtube. So far, there isn't a single candidate that excites me from either side. Matter of fact, the only thing I can say, is that there are close to a handfull of the top players that I won't ever vote for. Hillary, Edwards, Mcain, and Romney can forget about it from where I am standing. McCain I'd have considered until the Amnesty Bill died a deserved death.

I always liked him, I shouldn't say that though now the liberals will think he's an a$s hole if I like him

Ron Paul last night:

"The people who say there will be a bloodbath are the ones who said it will be a cakewalk or it will be a slam dunk, and that it will be paid for by oil. Why believe them?" he asked.

I honestly wish this guy didn't come accross as a fringe lunatic on TV. To the average american (you all know who I am talking about), he's unelectable. Whereas, Mitt Romney is. What a country!

Is there really any point to a Republican debate before Sen Thomson puts up or shuts up?
