MSM makes mistakes, dumb mistakes, but don't pretend your sources are any better. Unless you're walking around the streets of Iraq, you're either getting your story from the MSM or from the US government, and neither of them is impartial.
So I guess I needed my degree in journalism to know that the photo is complete BS. That's funny since my degree is in business. Hmmm....I guess you're wrong again.

You sound silly. They're called milblogs, and they are from the very people twho are walking those streets. They're not from some 24 hour a day press hotel reporter who relies on locals to give them their "facts". You should try reading them some time.

As an anyhow, I've got a bud in Taji, two friends who were in Ramadi, and my sister-in-laws 2 nephews who were MP's in Iraq, one at Abu-Graib. I use the MSM, milblogs, my own 2 cents, and their first hands experiences to come to my comclusions.

I gather you don't read the NYT. Actually, there's been a lot of coverage of the surge, including its successes. And quite seriously, you can't compare the mistake in the photo to the mistakes at Abu Ghraib; but even so, neither reflects on the entire organization. It reflects on some careless individuals.

So the little ole lady, don't know, but you gotta figure the educated WAR CORROSPONDANT that took the photo, plus the photo editor (who edits WAR photos) might be educated enough to tell the difference between SPEND projectiles and unused AMMUNITION. They are the problem, not the old lady.

Patters, it totally honorable to be a man that doesn't apologize for your core liberal beliefs and to defend them, it's altogether another to defend a patently FALSE image of war.
I'm not defending the photo. I'm simply saying it's not a big deal. If the caption said the women held bullets that killed her child, that would be another story. But, even if the bullets did strike her house, who cares? It's war. One issue no one has with the war is harmless collateral damage. I don't see the point of this thread, unless you can show a trend of poorly or biasly captioned photos. I'm sure I've seen many mistakes in the media over the years.

Ummmmmm, all the more reason reputable MSM outlets like FOX go out of there ways to vet thier stories, sorces, pitcures. Otherwise, the army of bloggers (either side) will destroy you. It's happening all the time now.

You can now longer feed the public a SH!T sandwich and expect them to like it is going down. Personally, I think its a good thing.

Yeah, soldiers are free to speak their mind... I mean, if they wanted to criticize the President in a blog, it's not like they'd be punished.

Apparantly the MSM is wrong and the War in Iraq is a resounding success, silly me.

How can you say it's not a big deal? Propping an elderly woman in a pic, with bullets, talking about raids and being shot at, isn't a big deal? Maybe it's not a big deal in comparrison to most of the other BS they print. You know, like flushing a Quran down the toilet and inciting deaths.

When the media prints crap like this, it is wrong, period. People see that all over the world, and it has a negative effect. To me, only a moron of the most M & M extent would fail to see that the bullets and the story didn't match, which screams it was done on purpose. I could be wrong but...

Got any examples of "my sources" making a similar mistake?

Or just another lefty smear when their boys are caught.

Your going to see the Left Wing Media and all the Sore Losing Democrats go Nuts in the next few months, Bush's numbers actually went up 5 points and the Surge is starting to work, the Democrats are praying for another Abba Dabba prison thing.

Now if only they could find a picture of a White Presbytarian American Soldier From Alabama Raping an Iraqi Donkey.
