After all, Lawrence Lindsay was fired by the Bush Administration when he suggested the tab could go as high as $200 billion back in 2002. That was "poor salesmanship" to Karl Rove, I guess.

Michael Graham, the idiot on WTTK, this morning said that amount was justified because the attack on the WTC cost 500 billion in one day, so one trillion over ten years is justifiable!

And I thought that the saviors were in the White House right now, with all the rhetoric that gets put on this board one would think so.. the current administration is truly great and sitting at the right hand of God.. just ask their apologists who blindly defend them and blame everything on the so called MSM. Could we apply the same ROI calculation to the 10 trillion + spent on the War on poverty programs with no withdrawal plan.

You know, if that had happened I'd at least say we got something for the money.

But in reality, we spend one trillion dollars and get zilcho (except a pissed of Iraqi population that will, for decades, have anti-U.S. demonstrations on their brand new bridges and highways).
