I think this guy will be another casualty of Republican corruption. If we don't get them on family values (Vitter), we can always get them on greed. Another sad day for America. Another sad day for the Republican Party.

Federal law enforcement agents are currently searching the Girdwood home of Alaska U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens, an FBI agent said.

"All I can say is that agents from the FBI and IRS are currently conducting a search at that residence," said Dave Heller, the assistant special agent in charge of the FBI's Anchorage office. The search began this afternoon, he said. It's the only such search warrant currently being served, he said.

He directed other questions to the U.S. Justice Department's Public Integrity Section in Washington. A spokesman there had no comment.

Federal investigators and a grand jury looking into public corruption in Alaska have been asking questions about a 2000 remodeling project at Stevens' home, particularly the involvment of the oil field services firm Veco.

Been following this story on Steven's, there is a ton on innuendo on what he allegedly did.. be interesting to see what happens. Maybe he and Jefferson can share a cell someday and compare notes.

Stevens sucks, I'd love to see him go to prison. He's the one that refused to swear in energy industry executives when they testified, so that their testimony couldn't be used under oath. When other Senators objected he ruled them out of order and continued taking testimony without oath.
