Default 'Cheney pushes Bush to act on Iran'

this thread is two parts... one, a statement that Cheney officially is Palpatine; and two, the poll... discuss either, or both...

‘Bush is not going to leave office with Iran still in limbo.’

In a story entitled “Cheney pushes Bush to act on Iran,” The Guardian writes that Cheney may be winning the debate inside the White House over how to confront Iran:
The balance in the internal White House debate over Iran has shifted back in favour of military action before President George Bush leaves office in 18 months, the Guardian has learned.

The shift follows an internal review involving the White House, the Pentagon and the state department over the last month. Although the Bush administration is in deep trouble over Iraq, it remains focused on Iran. A well-placed source in Washington said: “Bush is not going to leave office with Iran still in limbo.”

It would be a good distraction from the swirling ***** storm boy george finds himself in. But if he were to pull the trigger on this his funding would be cut off within 48 hours. If he doesn't relize this he would be made to as soon as any rumors leaked out. Right now he probably has only a dozen or so senators that are true believers, and he'd lose them fast. This isn't a Great White Fleet scenario. As soon as the funds were cut there would be I think, a massive diplomatic push to placate the Iranians

I do not see how he can in this political climate, but then again his inner circle of like minded people may read this differently and do whatever they want to do without proceeding through congress. I am in favor of the old time CIA and Moosad, accidents can and do happen.

Ain't happening. We're not attacking Iran. People who talk about this are disillusioned from reality.

R-dubz, I hope you are correct on this one...I'm one of those "disillusioned" people who understands that this administration constantly makes the wrong decisions. The track record speaks for itself.

It makes absolutely no sense, would be an inevitable disaster, and is an obvious bad move.

But, there's a good chance it will happen simply because Cheney is pure evil.

And... we don't have 3 carrier strike groups off the coast of Iran for nothing.

What are you going to attack it with? Furthermore, if you use air, what are you going to accomplish, other than $130-150 a barrel oil? If they indeed have nukes, or are bulding them, they are deep underground.

Ain't happening.

Yeah, just like we never had them there before, or off the coast of China in the 90's. Maybe the US can organize another kidnapping of some British sailors while they're there.

Just leave them alone, sit back and watch the fireworks, Liberals have never liked Israel, well, now Iran will take care of that problem.

I wonder what Striesand, Jon Stewart, Paul Newman, Spielberg, Chevy Chase and Al Franken will say when they see their homeland turned into another Hiroshima, I wonder if Barbara Walters or the rest of these Bush Haters have any relatives over there.

Maybe Jimmy Carter & Jessie Jackoff can go to Iran to "Negotiate"
