Not much of a liberal, but I think PBS, Discovery and Science Channels, and National Geographic CHannel are all right up there. That's my idea of good news. Oh, and Cartoon Network is great when they have South Park so I can keep up with the culture.

Of course I get Colbert's schtick. I just happen to think that he's funny and Stewart's not. That's all. And you're right, funny shows always get cancelled - see Arrested Development.

PBS tends to report left, but have been impressed with Discovery, Science and Nat Geographic.. would think the last would be terrifically biased, but have watched a lot of their stuff on the ME lately and then tend to be more straightforward than expected. Watched a show on two groups of special forces in Afghanistan, and the stress on them as they were responsible for policing an area the size of RI.. did a good job on them as soldiers and how complicated their role is all the while getting shot at or dodging ied's.

I was talking about Frontline, specifically. I agree that Newshour is left-leaning, but at least they deliver more than a soundbite and give the Paris stories and car chases their proper level of attention.

I also forgot to mention c-span. I wish I had more time for that.

PPBS is the political opposite of Fox, but I can't watch fox because they spend too much time on garbage that doesn't matter and promote the sensationalized crap like stories about the media talking about themselves, like when Bill ORielly and Heraldo stage those WWF-style shouting matches.
If there were a conservative news outlet on MSM, that examined stories in depth without the eye candy and fake outrage, I'd watch it as much as PBS. Fox would never do "Frontline", "The American Experience", or anything of that depth.

It's a myth that they contribute 10 times more money to the democrtic party? HD you believe every conspiracy theory that comes down the pike and you can't see liberal media bias? That's beautiful. Then you find a solitary conservative that says that it is often used as an excuse by conservatives for conservative failures(true to a degree) and that you believe. Shall I dig out the rest of Kristols ideas? Will you believe those as well?
