Sorry Harry, nothing personal, but I don't read anything in huge font, it's an eyesore. If you want people to read what you write, use a normal font like everyone else, these's a reason books and newspapers aren't written in 44 point font. Without law and order, society will crumble, right?

Isn't that part of the issue? That too many people speak spanish, and not enough of them are learning english? If I'm not mistaken, one of the biggest punch lines of the American Sellout Plan, or Amnesty, is that "they'll have to learn english". Like Mathews said last night, he doesn't believe that one bit, and neither do I. It's really funny. My mom's family grew up in the North End, whereas my dad's grew up in Chelsea. The North End was 99% Italian back then, and people flock to common neighborhoods because the culture, and the language is the same. The people who grew up outside of the NE are far more proficient in english, and the american culture, than those who lived in the NE. Why is that? It's because the outsiders assimilated, and they had to. The insiders were coddled by their surroundings, and were far less likely to make the sacrafices needed for transition. When our own government, you know, the one that is saying it is going to demand the invaders learn english is coddling the ethnic group in question, I see things for what they are.

We all have gotten the wrong order at McDonald's, which is pretty irritating IMHO. And I would sure hate to be an emergency room doctor or nurse when the language barrier comes into play.

A society cannot function when there are large numbers of people completely unable to communicate with other large numbers of people. We should have one flag and one language. If you were born outside the country and you want to come here, you should conform to us, not vice versa.
Amen.

A couple of years ago, my truck was smashed, in my drive way mind you, by some drunk dude who had no ID, no license, and spoke no english (not surprising since I live in Chelsea). Anyhow, the guy was most likely an illegal, and had he not destroyed my car, that was in my driveway! He'd have hit the telephone pole in front of my house. I called the cops, cuz this guy tried to drive away, and I told them that I had a drunk guy with no license......and they told me they were too busy to bother. Which wasn't surprising since I live in Chelsea. So the guy just drove away in his smashed car trashed out of his mind.

I wonder how many 2nd generation Hispanics don't speak English?

I bet its like 5 in the entire country.

Every time you come across a 30 or 40 something year old who doesn't speak English, remember that that person will be dead in 40 years or so and his/her kids won't have the same problem. In the meantime all they get from life is a phone telling them to 'Press 2 for Spanish' and Univision.

I think Mathews said last night that there were 600,000 fugitive criminal illegals in this country. Of course, Pujo will tell you that the guy who caused $16k in damage to my truck, (assuming he's illegal) gets no benefits from being here illegally. That he faces the same obligations as you and me. If he was injured he'd go to the ER and say his name was Tony Montana, get aid, and never pay a bill, and since he has no license, he'll never have to worry about his insurance premiums going up, or having points added to his step. Of course, I was lucky in the sense that I have comprehensive coverage, and teh car was registered to someone someplace. The problem is, a healthy chunk of the cars illegals drive aren't insured. So the poor taxpaying sucker american who is barley making ends meat, and is paying MAss. insurance rates through the nose, and has no comprehensive coverage, would have lost their car, or would have had to come up with the money to fix it.
