Default WMD's

The Pelosi/Murtha/Reid gang don't like news like this and they never ever mention "Chemical Ali"
(they like the dog leash lady story better).

This Chemical Ali guy, he had WMD's, what did he do with them, where are they

News Today:
BAGHDAD - Two decades after Iraq's military laid waste to Kurdish villages, the Iraqi High Tribunal on Sunday sentenced Ali Hassan al-Majid, known as "Chemical Ali," and two others to death for their roles in the bloody campaign against the restive ethnic minority.

Al-Majid, a cousin of executed former president Saddam Hussein, was convicted of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes for ordering army and security services to use chemical weapons in an offensive said to have killed some 180,000 people during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.

According to U.S. government's Duelfer Report, the WMDs were destroyed by Saddam Hussen in 1991.

I know it's tough on you to accept the fact that that was no WMD at the time of America's unprovoked attack on Iraq.

Over 3,600 American boys and hundred of thousand of Iraq children and civilians have died because of this LIE.

How do you tell the parents of these dead Americans boys that their chidren died for nothing??

Even today, hundreds of Americans are still dying in Iraq just to just save George Bush's legacy.

What is so AMAZING to me is that the US government could not find EVEN ONE LOUSY WMD.

Saddam was suppossed to have MILLIONS of WMDs, stockpiles of chemicals, bombs, gas, trucks, labs, etc .....

But guess what??

George Bush could NOT even find ONE WMD.

Not even ONE lousy WMD.

That is just ASTOUNDING to me.

Not true we found 500 artillery shells with Mustard gas, and a few hundred tons of yellowcake uranium.

A few hundred tons of yellowcake, huh? That's interesting. Do you have a link to a real news source subtantiating that?

I'd also love to see the details on the 500 artillery shells "with Mustard gas."

You know how the horrible media just glosses over these things -- I've totally missed the few hundred tons of yellowcake.

Two people were treated for "minor exposure" after the sarin incident but no serious injuries were reported. Soldiers transporting the shell for inspection suffered symptoms consistent with low-level chemical exposure, which is what led to the discovery, a U.S. official told Fox News.

"The Iraqi Survey Group confirmed today that a 155-millimeter artillery round containing sarin nerve agent had been found," Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt (search), the chief military spokesman in Iraq, told reporters in Baghdad. "The round had been rigged as an IED (improvised explosive device) which was discovered by a U.S. force convoy."

Quote:
Since the story broke yesterday about finding 500 Shells of Chemical Weapons in Iraq, shells that contain Sulfur Mustard Gas or Sarin Gas, the Left and their media were quick to dismiss this extremely important find by using the lame excuse that these Chemical weapons Shells were produced before 1991 and hence its not effective anymore because it has much lower quality”. However in March 2003 UN report about Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction there is the following on page 77 (Page 79 of the pdf file), paragraph 1 of the report http://www.un.org/Depts/unmovic/documents/6mar.pdf :

“ The Sulfur Mustard contained in artillery shells that had been stored for over 12 years, had been found by UNMOVIC to be still of high purity. It is possible that viable filled artillery shells and aerial bombs still remain in Iraq.

The above form the United Nations inspectors and the darling of the Left Hans Blix totally destroy the stupid lies that the Left and their media has been spewing since the breakings new of yesterday. First the UN clearly state in March 2003 that the Mustard gas shells they found are of HIGH QUALITY even it had been STORED FOR OVER 12 YEARS. Second the UN admit that there may still VIABLE i.e. EFFECTIVE Mustrad filled artillery shell hidden in Iraq, and yesterday we learned for a fact that there were indeed 500 Mustard gas artillery shells that were found in Iraq since the removal of Saddam. Also it is safe to conclude that the Mustard Gas shells found after the war are still in high quality and highly effective Chemical weapons.
Another very important fact to add is that Saddam had LIED to the UN inspectors and the world when he said that he had destroyed ALL his Chemical Weapons and other WMD. It does not matter whether these weapons were produced before or after 1991, his job was to destroy it ALL and not hide anything not a one ounce of these WMD, he DID NOT.

The UN's Yellowcake Loophole

But this begs the question: how could yellowcake deals proceed with nations that were already under restrictions established in the UN's Non—proliferation Treaty (NPT), and presumably under the watchful eye of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)?

The answer is simple: in 1972 the IAEA itself enacted changes to its own regulations that allowed certain nuclear materials to be maintained and traded even by countries known to be covertly developing a nuclear capability or who supported terrorist groups.

It is important to understand that yellowcake cannot be directly introduced to the enrichment process. It must first be converted to uranium dioxide. In its final report, the Iraqi Survey Group (ISG) noted that Iraq had over 4,500kg of natural uranium dioxide that was under IAEA safeguards. There was also over 6.5 tons of uranium dioxide that had not been declared to the IAEA and was therefore not monitored by the UN. Saddam had a huge amount of material that given the proper equipment could have been immediately enriched to make nuclear fuel for a reactor or a nuclear weapon.

Then there was the problem of the 500 tons of yellowcake, some of which had slipped under the IAEA radar. But a key notation appears on the ISG inventory next to all of the yellowcake finds at Al—Tuwaitha: not subject to safeguards according to INFCIRC/153 corrected.
