Of course not. Their scam doesn't work on you, but maybe there are other scams that you are in fact a victim of. Just because you don't see the scam doesn't mean it's not there. It wouldn't be a good scam if it didn't work on you.

With so many blacks in prison, is it any wonder that there aren't more whites when are so much more tolerant of their victimless crimes? It's a cultural issue but I think it's genuine.

They build bridges among their constituency, just as Romney, Bush, McCain, and others build bridges through their constituency. The fact that Republicans seldom build bridges into minority communities is just as bad as the fact that Sharpton and Jackson seldom build bridges into other communities. Why do you ignore the parallels.

As far as Sharpton and Jackson go, I have no love for Sharpton, but Jackson has done far more good work than bad work, and you ought to read at least the Wikipedia article about him. Like any other leader, he's made some bad mistakes, but he's also done a lot of good. He does very much reach across the race threshold, and has done so for a long time.

I didn't bring up Shank & Jackass, you did. I have no issue with the cause of civil rights. No one is naive enough to think that racism in this country has been eradicated. **Newsflash** Sadly, it's alive and well and will be for the long term. My issue with these losers is that they exploit the issue, and use it to instigate hostilities, and enflame peoples emotions. I find their methods self-serving, disengenuous, and counter productive. Sure they do some good. That does not justify their wrongs.

The football legend Jim Brown, whom I was fortunate to see running in his prime -- best RB ever, period; only runner I've ever seen who could almost always get the tough 3rd or 4th and 1, while simultaneously being a genuine threat to go all the way any time he had the rock -- called Sharpton an "ambulance chaser" for running after incidents to get his seen on TV, and thus, more free face time.

Just got home from a job in the boonies with no internet access (yes, there is such a place!) so I'm just catching up...
Could someone please explain how this got turned into a racial discussion as opposed to being outraged at this heinous behavior? Where in the story is the race of anyone identified? Is it because of the Spanish names? So would an arguement between Cameron Diaz and Carlos Santana be racially tagged? This is beyond idiotic.
