As for this last statement of yours: all I know is that, officially "liberal" or not, the dominant media culture of the NYTimes-WashingtonPost-ABCNBCCBS axis played Jimmy Carter as the best thing since sliced bread, what with his southern drawl and peanut farm. They even trotted out his drunken brother, Billy -- replete with his "Billy Beer" -- to show what a "good ol' boy" he was. Then there was his "I am a born-again Christian" remark, made shortly before appearing in Playboy magazine. Go figure.

Carter f'ed up because he tried to micromanage a field operation in Iran from DC, OTOH he tried to micromanage the economy and look how THAT turned out.

Too bad our congress (on a bipartisan basis) hasn't heeded these lessons, look at the energy bill and immigration bills as examples of legislative stupidity.

Nothing like slamming our brave military for the position a couple of maroons put them in.

That's what we get for electing retards. Nothing like a DC that can't get more than 30% approval for anyone.

I KNEW it was one of them!! Always get 'em mixed up. Used to have albums by both, back in another life time.

No, music isn't bad; it's the heart behind it that counts. Even some less than perfect stuff still hits home to me because I can understand where it's coming from.

I recently downloaded a bunch of old favorites from years past, but don't have the same zeal for listening as I once did (35 years ago).

That sort of superficial a$$ki$$ing might make you feel good, but it belongs in a parade or a soundbite for your agenda.
