SANTA MONICA - It's official: Halle Berry will face charges for a two-car crash last month. But was the actress -- who'd been under investigation for felony hit and run -- charged enough?

Prosecutors on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles filed a single misdemeanor count against the 33-year-old Berry. Additionally, an arrest warrant was issued. Berry turned herself into authorities on Saturday. She was issued a citation and given a scheduled May 4 court date.

Police had urged the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office to pursue a more serious felony case against Berry. Instead, she's merely being dinged for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.

On Friday, Berry's camp said the actress was "obviously pleased" with prosecutors' decisions. The lawyer for the driver of the second car was obviously not pleased, saying the actress had received preferential treatment.

Berry suffered a gash on the forehead in the Feb. 23 incident in West Hollywood, Calif. The driver of the second car, who has since filed suit against Berry, sustained a broken wrist.

There was also word Friday that Berry was under investigation for other reputed hit-and-run crashes in Chicago and Cleveland.

What would happen to the Reverand Billy Graham if he reversed the Race Card and used it as the Rat Sharpton does.
