I thought you were smart enough to parse and comprehend a sentence. Clearly you are not.

I certainly am, but let's be honest an understand there's a political dimension to tragedy. Just as some people accuse liberals of taking pleasure when troops die (because it affirms our belief that the war is bad), it's equally valid to accuse conservatives of taking pleasure when terrorists attack (because it affirms their belief that we need draconian laws to combat terrorism). I don't think you are so naive as to be unaware of this.

Mulligan is an "old fashioned" racist? Interesting...

Anyhow, the question stands... to Mulligan, or anyone offering a hypocritical defense for his brainless statement: What does the prepetual war in Iraq have to do with 9/11?... Oh, that's right.... nothing...

Of course there's a political element. And he should probably use different words as too many people just aren't smart enough to realize what was actually said. He needs to dumb it down for the masses.

What he said is similar to a yahoo who might say something about the RedSox like "all we need is an injury to a starter and people will see overrated this team is".

Does this mean that said yahoo wants a starter to get injured? Nope.

Patriots:

"All we need is for Randy Moss to get in trouble and people will turn on this trade in a nano-second"

Does that mean said person wants Moss to get in trouble? Nope.

Two drunk guys driving home from a party:

"All we need is for a cop to be driving down Uranus St., and we're ****ed"

Does this mean that those two clowns want a cop to drive down Uranus?

Um...

As usual, it all depends on who's slinging.

Most of the time it's those (in)tolerant types, or those individuals who's mental ability is severely lacking.
