OTOH if there were attacks on American Soil what would it say about the current state of our security and the Dept. of Homeland Security?? Any attack could backfire on the Republicans as wells as the Dems.. without regard I hope that nothing happens, in any context the comments are a tad bizarre.

So his failing party is so important to him that we wishes for the deaths of more civilians so Bush can move up from his 28% approval rating. Classy.
Surprise, surprise, Seymour totally distorting the meaning of someone's words. I've never seen that before.

Negative. You are trying to equate an actual, with a hypothetical.

As much as I'd love to see the chairman of the RNC say something totally stupid like that, that's just not how I read it. Even if the man was truly that evil, he'd have more sense, being a politician, not to say it out loud.

Another attack on America wouldn't benefit that a$s hole it would benefit the sore losing Bush Haters, they could then CRUCIFY him for not protecting the country.

How quiet the left wing is on the JFK AIRPORT plot by the "MUSLIM PIGS"

America won that round.

Go to Fox & MSNBC, you will hear all about it.

I agree, it's very tough to see that being a political "win" for the Republicans. Whether Bush deserves credit or not, the fact that we're closing in on 6 years since a terrorist attack on our soil is a check mark in Bush's favor (again, I'm NOT saying it's because of him but it is what it is).

Are you saying it depends on the meaning of "need"?

I don't think anyone's taking the meaning out of context. The guy said, "I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001 ], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush...." He didn't see, "If we had more attacks," he said we need them. Of course, it's not quite how he meant it, but clearly he believes that more attacks on American soil would prove that Bush is right, and that for him would be an upside to such attacks. Let's face it, every tragedy has a silver liner. For him, another attack, he believes, would make Bush look good.

at the end of the day, the question staring the hawkish, cracker Con man from Arkansas is this:

what does Iraq have to do with 9/11?

Nothing like good old fashion racism to help make a point.

Is racism acceptable in here these days?
