There are 2 factors responsible for the health care problems we have in this country:

1) Scumbag malpractice lawyers like Edwards, and
2) Illegal immigration

Of course, since Edwards is a liberal, all of a sudden malpractice lawyers are great people and not in any way responsible for doing damage to the system...

Is your manhood so threatened that you cannot answer any question intelligently, or do you need to resort to your anger continually. You make statements but do not back them up.. just keep up the talking points.. Herr Rove would be proud.

Trial and Malpractice lawyers, do not make the situation better, but there are a slew of other issues associated with this.. they are part of the problem, but only part.. don't beg the issue.

If John Edwards found a quarter on the street, how long would it take for some right wing hack to run to a message board and start some stupid thread about how this proves conclusively that he's just no good?

At the very least, he'll pay taxes on his share of the find. That means every one of us just found a sunken treasure since the taxes he'll pay benefit us all. Of course, I'd rather spend my cut on hookers, beer and pizza as opposed to some war a million miles away; but what are you gonna do?

BIG difference between a quarter and a quarter of a BILLION dollars. Ayuh.

And who says he's going to pay taxes on this off-shore lottery prize?? Creative tax shelters and the art of book-keeping means he might get to keep all or most of it. Maybe he'll build another "biggest estate in the county" in some place like Nicaragua or Cuba.

Just wonder how this is helping the "2nd Americans" Edwards likes to talk about.

If you knew what was really going on, you'd be angry too. Millions of decent, hard working Americans cannot get and cannot afford good health care because of scumbag ambulance chasing lawyers like Edwards.
So you agree that lowlifes like Edwards are a part of the problem. Nice to see you're making progress. It seems our major disagreement is on how much scumbag ambulance chasing lawyers like Edwards contribute to the problem.

The only thing that confuses me is that, for some reason, you seem to think that a guy who you admit is part of the problem can all of a sudden take over and fix things...? Gotta say I don't see the logic there...

Not me... I got no problem with him investing in a salvage operation and making a big profit when the treasure was found. It's a high risk, high reward venture which has paid off.

I just think it's worth noting that this is probably the first honest money he's ever made in his life since his fortune was built on being a scumbag ambulance chaser, channelling the spirits of 12 year old girls, and doing everything he can to systematically destroy health care in this country - the same health care system he now turns to in his family's hour of need.

Never I said I like Edwards, in fact said just the opposite.. George Bush bankrupted several companies before he became president, now he has driven us into debt and nearly bankrupted us financially and morally. If you look at the track records of the candidates in the real world, you get a pretty good idea of how they will behave in office.
