It probably is insensitive and unprovoked, but the root issue is that when posters are known for cross threading their posts they become "targets" for those who feel that they should post religious posts in the religion forum. I may not do this to you, but I take issue with guys like Fogbuster, who continually intertwines right wing religion and politics. The separation of the two issues are essential in this country and on this board.

Once you become known for something, you become fair game, while the post is probably not a good thing, why don't you change your slant on things. To mix religion and politics often does not work well. For some there is no difference, but for most there is a huge difference.. don't leave yourself so vulnerable.

food for thought, and after i posted it and said to myself, this will get nowhere.

However, it is interesting how that kind of stuff is tolerated when its directed at one group of people, but had it been directed to another type of group it would have been jumped upon by the PC police.

that all being said, i'll drop it. thanks for the feedback.

I didn't see that at first, either.
Turd is a rare one. Right wing athiest. LOL
I wouldn't let it bother me so much, 3 of 4.

It's an isolated incident. I think both FTW and I get involved only when things get out of hand. Fortunately, no one responded in kind to Turd's tacky remark.

If the annoying behavior stops, your reaction to it ought to stop. I'm reminded of when Turd put up a You tube clip of the Last Temptation of Christ set to The Theme from the Benny Hill show in the middle of 3 to be 4's religious videos thread,

#1 That was damn funny, and
#2 3 to be 4's bombing of the place with religious threads at the time made it justified to an extent.

Neither's the case anymore.

Leaving aside the personal issue, it should be noted that The Passion was insensitive and unprovoked.

But hey, I'm responsible for all the wars in the world, according to the director... I must just be trying to stir up *****.

Perhaps you should define "insensitve and unprovoked" because I fail to see how someone's opinion about a movie can be characterised as "insensitive and unprovoked". Not everyone is insecure enough to believe in the fiction of religion so you really shouldn't expect everyone to share your opinion of the "sacredness" of a fairy tale. Grow some thicker skin - it'll serve you well once you expand your boundaries beyond your familiar domain (if you ever do).
