Oh yes, I do, the question is, do you? Do most in here? Does the general public? I think not. People only see what they want to. When the AP runs a story in which they describe Dick Cheney as the dark lord, is that bias? Last I checked he was the VP, and the description dark lord should be left for opinion pieces, not news reports. Is someone interjecting slant or opinion there? When sources reported on the Supreme Courts recent abortion ruling, a poster provided a number of different articles on the matter, and one could clearly see how the reporting differed from one source to another. Was opinion the reason why? I'd say so. Yet, they were not opinion pieces. The media doesn't report strictly news, and in all honestly, never truly has (generally speaking). There has always been a level of POV inserted, as reporters are human. I'd say that has gotten progressively worse over time. Your view of FOX is no different than say FTW's of CNN, or BF's of MSNBC. Who's right, who's wrong? To you FOX is biased in an evil fashion, to others they see them as a mirror of the others, only, from the opposite view. This is why I stress to people that they watch as many different sources as is possible, and then make their own determination accordingly.

Humming birds are very friendly little creatures after they get to know you it is possible to have them perch right on your shoulder if you sit close enough to their feeder.
I have a routine concerning Humming Birds I use each year that some people find hard to believe, it involves, wine, your bare navel, a naked women, some sugar and water.
Once you have made friends with the Humming Bird by sitting close to their feeder they will do almost anything to get at their little treat that you have prepared for them.
First, try to get somebody else's wife to join you, then slowly drink a gallon of Red Wine, have some Italian Sausage and Genoa Salami to go with the wine, as soon as you start to feel like singing and laughing you and your companion remove all your clothes, you both have to be naked, Humming Birds will know that you are in your natural state, the way God intended.
While your neighbors wife is on her knees you lie down on the deck on your back with your stomach facing the sun, you do this underneath the Feeder while the Humming Birds are 'hovering", then have your friend pour some of the prepared sugar and water into your Navel and then step back.
Within two minutes a Humming Bird will start to feed right from your Navel, as soon as the first Humming Bird begins to feed your naked neighbors wife shoud start singing "Nearer My God To Thee", this is an experiance you will cherish for the rest of your life.
Harry's Home Made Humming Bird Food:
3 parts water
1 part sugar
Bring water to a boil then add sugar, stir well until sugar all disappears.

I heard it on the radio yesterday morning. AM 850 Dennis and Callahan read the a story from the AP. They made the point which I heard. They read the portion that describes him that way, word for word.

so some AM talk radio personalities read "a story from the AP", and you insist it was a hard news report... interesting... considering that is the very definition of an editorial commentary, i guarantee it was not a hard news report of any kind labelling the VP the "Dark Lord" as views expressed by AP itself...
anyhow, if you heard it word for word, please provide them, and i can try and find it...
If ANY news broadcast were to say that Cheney were the dark lord, they would be reporting the truth for once.
actually... unless they were quoting someone else, or were a paid opinion writer, they'd be fired or suspended... as would the editors or proof readers who let it pass...

that's not what i mean... the firing would be from within, not by order of the government or law....
we learned from the Fox/Monsanto case -- where a whistleblower's case was thrown out when it was determined on appeal that a news agency is free to report or slant the news however they want without objection by the FCC... but then, that's Fox... and that's how it avoided a lawsuit for firing two reporters who wouldn't slant their story: by saying "yes, we slant the news... so? ... we can fire anyone we want!".... in other words, the slant came from the top.... not from the reporter, who refused to alter her report...
however, the Associated Press and ANY legit news sources like it, would handle employee accountability internally when a reporter attempts to editorialize in a hard news story on his/her own ...
