Anti-Christ? thats a whole other thread, probably best for the other forum
although going into Iraq was pretty close.
point is, you can be a follower of Christ and be against the war in Iraq, for National Health Insurance, for increased aid for the poor, for gun controls, and against the death penalty.
40% of Evangelical Christians ( largely due to 80% of Black Evangelical Christians) are Democrats. Maybe thats why I always felt so comfortable at Black Churches, especially when I lived in South Carolina. Didnt have to pledge my allegiance to George Bush in order to praise and worship.
thankfully, the lessons learned over the past couple of years has toned down the politically agenda driven pastors and, for the most part, they are focusing on the Lord again, and away from blatantly pushing politics as they were so much in 2004 and 2005.
funny how a failed war policy and personal scandal can do that.
the message: focus on Christ and not on Christianity.
ok, i'll try to stop as this is the political forum. I posted the video because of the connection it made between God and giving to others.
But I can get on a roll so quick so i'll stop.
