Default Virginia Tech Gunman Sent a Video To NBC

The gunman was meticulous, he sent 23 video clips, 45 photos, and 1 audio clip to NBC the morning of the massacre.

He comes across as a very troubled individual, saying things like 'this is for the weak and defenseless', 'do you know what it feels like to be spit on your face and have trash shoved down your throat', 'do you know what it feels like to be humiliated', 'were your mercedes, golden neclaces, trust funds, girls not enough for you snobs'?

The amazing thing is he didn't say it to be arrogant...he was sincere...I went home and told everyone about it." - Bob Kraft

The networks are giving this guy exactly what he wanted - major exposure to a national audience. I think this is a bad idea - very bad. To describe the content on air without the continual plastering of his face and rantings on screen would have been enough for me. Makes me wonder how long it will be until some other slug tries the same thing.

With all the weirdos out there it is hard to imagine that there aren't some who are kind of excited seeing these pictures.

My concern also, headlines like biggest massacre in US history will only fuel those mentally ill folks out there who have illusions of grandeur. He was emulating the kids at Columbine, now someone will have to out do Cho to be the greatest of all time. This is about 32 kids and professors from VT.. already there is blame on video games, rap music, everyone is desensitized to death and destruction. It goes on and on, meantime there are a lot of battle scarred kids who witnessed this, grieving families and injured others all of whom are recovering. It is a sad commentary on the state of the US journalism that the implicit focus is on the death toll, rather than the dead and injured.
