Default More Evidence of Media Bias

Take a look at the way the same story is played out on the different web sites. I have highlighted a few bullet points but I think its obvious that ABC wanted to create a certain mood with it's headlines and story focus. Fox, NBC, and CBS ran the AP story, while ABC(Neutral headline? I don't think so) and CNN wrote their own and made sure they flavored it up. They both omitted what the procedure involves-(wonder why?)

The procedure at issue involves partially removing the fetus intact from a woman's uterus, then crushing or cutting its skull to complete the abortion. not reported on the CNN or ABC report

In a 5-4 vote, the U.S. Supreme Court approved a ban on late-term abortions, often called "partial-birth abortions" by anti-abortion groups, without exception for the mother's health

Sometimes I go to Fox, CNN, Drudge, Raw Story and BBC to take a look at the same story, always amazed at the different spin by the different outlets.. that is why we all have to be careful to not just fall into the spin of a particular point of view, without looking at all sides.

I didn't see the skull crushed being bolded on MSNBC.

I've been saying it since I can remember. All media has it's own slant, and angle. The media is human, and all humans have an agenda. It is th duty of the stooge (that's you and me) to read as many sources as is possible, and note what slant is being spewed. In reading multiple sources, you're bound to get multiple angles, and thus different facts and information. Only then can a logical, objective, and open minded person come to an honest conclusion. Again, even the stooge is human, and thus a potential victim to his own bias.

Nice work though, you can see how some outlets are tugging a bit.

Agree 100%. I apply the same reasoning to some of the people who post in here. You tend to know who does that, and who doesn't. When you do that, you can tell who's fair, but has their own personal views, and who's clearly got an Agenda (Boy).

Incredible bias. Amazing none of them emphasized the loss of a woman's right over her own body.

How about for abortions they just take the baby out whole, and if it survives it survives. That way the baby is given the right to live (if it can), and the mother is given the right to remove the baby from her body. Would that make you happy?

How about if during an abortion, the doctors tie the womans tubes, so that she never has to worry about a baby again? I wonder how many abortions we'd have if that were the case.

This is EXACTLY WHY I'VE ALWAYS BEEN AGAISNT THE ROE DECISION.

I've said on numerous times, for me, this has everything to do with Constitutionality and nothing to do with abortion. The legalization or illegalization of abortion should have stayed with the people via their elected state representatives. But once the Supreme Court hijacked that right with Roe, now it has carte blanche to issue other edicts such as this one. Roe should be tossed, because it is bad law, and the rights of the people returned to them. Where in the constitution does it say that someone is guareenteed access to a medical proceedure (or barred form having a medical proceedure for that point). Both of these decisions are very troubling, what's next, are they going to mandate circumcisions at 13 (ouch!!!!) ?

My personal opinion about abortion is that it should be kept between the patient and her doctor (with rights given to the father (amazingly the father has almost no legal rights at this stage, but his paycheck is hijacked at the next stage). Anyone who has gone through fertility difficulties knows that the least thing that you want to worry about is the constitutionalty of your actions, rather than the helath and saftey of your family.
