This place would be infinitely better if even a few of our righties came here to learn on occasion instead of just blogging all the time.

Really?

When either you or Strudel can take this pebble from my hand, you may leave.

Great recovery here:

Yeah, but....maybe you should try to learn something from Strudel and SDaniels!

Actually he should. The first chart is not an apples to apples comparison across recessions since it starts at 1948 and this one is by far the most severe since the Great Depression and that's where you should be making comparisons. Remember that after the Great Depression acts like Glass Steagall dramatically reduced the depth of recessions and the period from after WWII to around the early 90s (thanks Ronald and Bush!) was fairly stable as a result, so it's really cherry picked data and not really useful at all. The second one is also not an apples to apples comparison, is a small sample, and confuses correlation with causation. A dishonest and stupid researcher puts something like that together, and a simplistic partisan like PF13 repeats it without thinking about it. Funny how that works. You can throw those graphs out the window, they're nonsense. But surely a gifted economist such as yourself is smart enough to figure this out on your own. Right? Right? Oh, wait.

What a curious chart this one is:

It's percent job loss relative to peak employment month. So, Obama came into office about month 15 according to that chart, after the worst of the percent job loss had taken place. It appears that the stimulus brought about a trend similar to that of 1990 and 2001. I suppose that makes sense.

FACT: There are popular arguments supported by advanced and recognized economists that both support and debunk Roosevelts policies. This is not debateable, yet you'll try keep this circular argument going by utilizing classroom debate techniques in a pompous attempt to win a debate. Good luck!

You're not an intellectual even though you play one here.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I've identified a pattern in the people who dislike me on this forum. Can you see it to? Hint: it's not political affiliation.
