Default George Bush did not cause 9/11, he reacted to it

Despite what the people in tin-foil hats say, Geo W Bush did NOT cause 9/11. In fact, a convincing argument may be made that Bill Clinton's INACTION and LACK of constructive engagement with Muslim nations (e.g. Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egygt, et. al.) during the 1990s may very well have set the stage for 9/11: U.S. embassies bombed by al qaeda, U.S. naval vessels attacked, U.S. and other Western interests bombed many times during Clinton's reign.

Geo Bush simply responded to all that had happened, most importantly, to 9/11.

As for Iraq, with all the stonewalling frequent war starter and genocidal despot Saddam Hussein threw up against the entire world by keeping UN inspectors out of Iraq for five years, there was no need for any "Niger yellow cake" or any other excuse to go in an remove the brutal dictator Hussein.

All these games about Geo Bush lying about this or that are a pathetically transparent smokescreen for one simple fact: some people obviously cannot accept the FACT that Geo Bush twice beat Dem candidates for the presidency. Like spoiled little children, they keep crying.

Bwa-a-a-a.

Please give us your explanation of George Bush's response when told that the United States was under attack. You know, when he sat there listening to My Pet Goat for another 7 minutes.

Yes, yes we all know a good president would have turned into Rambo and
bee-lined it to Washington to stand on the steps of the capital and thump
his chest to reassure a frightened nation that we will not be defeated. Wait. I thought he ordered the attacK on ourselves? You guys confuse me.

George Bush responded to the 9/11 tragedy by attacking a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.

Five (5) years after the 9/11 assault on America, the perpetrator (OSAMA BIN LADEN) of the terrorist act is still free and living in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Jeez, you are re-writing history. The primary reason for attacking Iraq was the existence of WMD which posed immediate and imminent threat to America.

To justify his phony war, Bush had to lie and manipulate the intelligence reports, like the existence of the Iraq-Niger yellow cake connection.

We have to put another caveat to your assertion: In the first election, over 500,000 more Americans voted against George Bush.

If he had leaped out of his chair, screamed and ran out of the room the kids would all have started crying, the teachers would have ***** in their pants and the American people would have have gone into a panic.

WHAT GOOD WOULD IT HAVE DONE IF BUSH HAD RAN OUT OF ROOM?

IMAGINE THE FUN THE SORE LOSING BUSH HATING DEMOCRATS COULD HAVE HAD THESE LAST FEW YEARS WITH PICTURES OF THE PRESIDENT RUNNING OUT OF A SCHOOL ROOM LIKE A SCARED JACK RABBBIT, CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE WHAT THE NY TIMES AND HOLLYWOOD WOULD HAVE DONE WITH THAT ONE.

BUSH KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND HE DID IT RIGHT, HE DIDN'T PANIC THE CHILDREN, HE DIDN'T PANIC THE PEOPLE AND HE DIDN'T GO INTO HYSTERICS WHICH THE SORE LOSERS WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE HIM DO.

HE STAYED COOL, THAT IS WHAT A LEADER IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

Sheesh Mikey why haven't you ever discussed this before(sarcasm)? But, ok....

Lets move this to your favorite discussion. Iraq-Bush's private war. We know. By the way, did you know that more people voted for someone other than Bill Clinton in his first election?

I just saw President Bush give his press conference at the Rose Garden.

Anyone who does not understand his crystal clear logic and unwavering commitment to prevent further terrorism is just not listening. The president's method is clear: to back out of Iraq now only gives terrorists the psychological sense of victory. As happened in Vietnam and Southeast Asia (and Korea, too), this is all that is necessary to give away victory. Get the free world back-pedaling and the defeat of free world is inevitable. Anyone who doesn't see that just is not paying attention to history.

Furthermore, Bush's policy to reduce both green-house gases and U.S. dependence on foreign oil is in his bill to support ethanol development, but, like the war against terrorism, the Dems want to politicize that issue as well: do nothing but then blame Bush. It is just plain disgusting.

Bush is right.

To the thread starter: Of course Bush did not cause 9/11. However, Bush shamelessly used 9/11 to go into Iraq. Millions of innocent Iraqi civilians are dead and thousands of US soldiers are dead, because Bush and his advisors lied and manipulated us into war.

For a country under 'attack' .... and him being the PRESIDENT....he seemed pretty calm in the fact that he was in no danger to him in that school. Either he is really stupid, or he knew what was going on.

'Magong' BUSh aka MABUS

OH and by the way, his REACTION to 9-11 has been a failure, and utter failure.

where is Bin Laden again?....I keep forgetting.

If we attack Iran....you are wrong. The PNAC and Clean Break policy will have seen its way to action. The documents prove that long before this admionistration took power, they planned on invading Iraq, so that they could destroy Iran. Defenders of his war policy will be seen in my eyes as traitors to America, and slaves to a neoconservative agenda. Bush is dead wrong, Cheney is dead wrong, Kristol id dead wrong. They have yet to be right about ANYTHING!
