Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Muslims

Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.

It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history 'as a vehicle for promoting political correctness'.

Houston, the Brits have a problem. This is certainly disgusting news, from the standpoint of a Jewish person, also called a Jew (it's okay. Just don't use it as a verb; oddly enough, "Hollywood Jewish persons," evidently intended to be less offensive than "Hollywood Jews," utterly misses the point, Harry -- but I think you know that. You're still funny, in a doomed-to-extinction, paleolithic way, though.)

I'd be extremely interested to see anything similar being taught in American schools, simply because I'm an American, and can influence American schools through my own action, whereas the British schools are the Brits' problem. (Although I am certain my cousins - yes, literal cousins - are on this like white on rice.)

Well, as far as I'm concerned you were happy they're not teaching about the Holocaust in Britain. In fact you called it "fantastic news." Why you thought I agreed with you, I have no idea. You can certainly find nothing at all to show that I agree with you on that point. (Of course, you'll point to link I provided about Japan, but that link had nothing whatsoever to do with the Holocaust.)
