It's a matter of perspective and opinion. Some people are super fearful of a government conspiracy, of 1984 and Big Brother. Others aren't, and don't see what all the hype is about. To me, a National ID is fine, to others, they scream of 1984. Think Patriot Act, and terrorism, how many in here have screamed of their civil liberties being taken away or violated, while others ask how, where when and why. It'll always come down to personal opinion. I'm somewhere in between I guess. I don't want a chip installed at birth, but I do want a National ID that prevents people who shouldn't have an ID from getting one.
