Speaking of under oath, Firtgerard was asked to testify and he refused to go under oath. Not that the spineless pubbies would have exposed him to hard questions.

Look, I don't have a pony in this race. I couldn't care less who was covert, or not, so long as justice is served to anyone who has broken the law, which is why I oppose a pardon for Libby. The guy lied under oath, and therefore he should be punished. When it comes to this case, and I've stated this a number of times, I'm a wee bit lost and disinterested compared to some people. The information, disinformation, and politcal manipulation on both sides made it so. Plame claims to be covert, which she probably is/was, but it seems there are still questions as to what that means. Some feel that she was not covert. Again though, my interest in this case is not nearly what yours or Patsfans might be. I'm a novice more or less.



Plame Wilson also repeatedly described herself as a covert operative, a term that has multiple meanings. Plame Wilson said she worked undercover and traveled abroad on secret missions for the CIA.

But the word "covert" also has a legal definition requiring recent foreign service and active efforts to keep someone's identity secret. Critics of Fitzgerald's investigation said Plame Wilson did not meet that definition for several reasons and said that's why nobody was charged with the leak.

Also, none of the witnesses who testified at Libby's trial said it was clear that Plame Wilson's job was classified.

However, Fitzgerald said flatly at the courthouse after the verdict that Plame Wilson's job was classified.

Maher's a TV comedian. Too many people take him seriously. He's by no means a pure Libertarian, but not many people are or can be. Same way not many can claim to be a "Republican" or "Democrat, as they are both one in the same.

At least Maher's not boring. If he resorted to telling every single person that he disagrees with that they have no principles or if he used the word 'disingenuous' at least three separate times in one day in such a way that made it clear that he read it in some Word of the day calender and though about how smart using it would make him look, then I'd probably not watch at all.
