Once again it that rightie bias, I know a lot of liberal folks who really like NASCAR. My bro in law, who is a big leftie, photographs NASCAR for the Woods brothers. I know a lot of libs who really enjoy this activity. This is anecdotal, but about as anecdotal as these comments. Who inspired this thought Fox News??

Well, your brother *gets paid* to watch NASCAR. Would he ever *pay* to watch it?? Big difference.

Because most of the fans of NASCAR believe in traditional family values, patriotism, and God.

So is he a "Junior" fan, Jimmy Johnson, or does he identify with Mark Martin's Viagra team??

I shouldn't answer this baiting thread, but where fools rush in. He is a fan of the guy who races in the Air Force car, as he is retired air force. He used to just photograph as a hobby, then got a couple of gigs for the Wood Bros. and then he moved out the the DC mainstream to Minnesota to start his own photography business, distance makes travelling all over the US impractical.

I also know a lot of other "liberals" who like NASCAR, for no particular reason. As far as the family values goes is Gingrich and Guiliani, the vanguards of the right, NASCAR fans.

I get real offended when I hear people say Baseball is boring; but that doesn't stop me from finding car races so. Both involve three hours of waiting to see just a few critical moments. The three hours of waiting under the warm sun in Boston in July at Fenway Park is much more comfortable than the same three hours spent in the infield at Daytona, FL in July under that brutal, death-bringing sun. I've experienced both and would only repeat one.
