I think we would do far better to look at heavy metals and pollution of drinking water than wasting time with the Global warming tripe.

My wife won't let me look at Pictures of Gore anywhere, last week I saw a picture of him waving his finger, his eyes were bulging out and drool was running down his chin, I turned the heat up, put every light in the house on then I went out and started up my two SUV's and let them run all night.
The next morning I went out with my dog and we both took a ***** on my front lawn.
A Copy of this went to Tipper, the poor women is still forced to call that big fool "Mr President"

Too funny.

That's been what I've been yelling about every time the "climate change" subject comes up! The reduction of pollution, especially the airborn metals that stay in the air, water and soil, will have a secondary effect of reducing any climate change proven or not proven.

I don't understand why the primary focus of the mining and burning of fossil fuels around the world is not more importantly connected to disease and death in children RIGHT NOW!

The reason is money. The UN wants to tax carbon and as I have pointed there is a huge potential for people corps to make money off trading carbon credits. Enron was hot on this before they were exposed as crooks.

Controlling heavy metals and dealing with groundwater contamination is a much bigger problem, but it isn't trendy, or a big moneymaker.

Wow. This is actually something we agree on! If it weren't for a bloviating man child hijacking this thread (as usual) in bold type with meaningless tripe, it would be worth discussing.

Wistah has made this point before. However, both of you should know that unlike CO2 emmissions, there has already been LAWS established to protect our drinking water. Maybe they are not enforced as you would like?

The fact that Republicans have been hell bent on reversing this trend and deregulating these toxins, gutting the regulations within the Clean Water Act so their big business buddies don't have to spend money on controlling thier waste, is not lost on us though. The reason is money, as you said, and corporate profits, and the fact that the US DOD is the single largest polluter of groundwater BAR NONE.

That said...pf13, why do I think you are FOS when you say you are also concerned about groundwater contamination???? Are you simply throwing that out there to deflect from having to defend your baseless claims on GW debate (like how H2O is the biggest greenhouse gas or that solar flux is more important than fossil fuel combustion).
