Norquist Plans Conservative Agenda: Learn To Belly Dance, Golf, And ‘Say No, No, No, No For 2 Years’ »
At the Conservative Political Action Conference yesterday, right-wing activist and anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist urged conservatives not to work to accomplish anything in the current Congress.
“Get married, develop a hobby, learn to belly dance, learn to golf — you know, we got two years free, but we gotta spend time and effort playing defense here,” Norquist said. “Our job is to say ‘no, no, no, no’ for two years.”
Norquist predicted, “People are gonna go, ‘oh maybe this bill isn’t as bad as it looks.’” But he warned, ” Don’t eat it, don’t swallow it, don’t touch it. Nothing good passes this Congress.”

“The government has missed all 34 deadlines set by Congress for requiring energy-efficiency standards on everything from home appliances to power transformers,” the Government Accountability Office reports. “Two-thirds of the deadlines have yet to be met, although many are more than a decade old. Because of the failures, consumers and corporations stand to pay tens of billions of dollars more for energy than they would have if the deadlines had been met.” Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) has details.

Two-thirds of the deadlines have yet to be met, although many are more than a decade old.
....
Rep. John Dingell, D-Mass., who made the report public at a news conference, said the delays covered many years and that he did not mean to single out the Bush administration. Some of the deadlines date to the 1990s.
....
New standards issued last fall for home furnaces increase the minimum requirement to about 80 percent efficiency. Critics of the regulation said all but a handful of new oil furnaces already achieve that level and the standard for gas furnaces was only slightly more than one issued 20 years ago.
The new furnace requirements don't go into effect until 2015, although Congress had issued the standards in 1994.

Which is exactly what I talk about almost everyday. The issue of party over principle. As loserish as this azzwipe sounds, so sounds his liberal counterpart. Principles matter very little in today's politics.

Gee the reporter who wrote the article you cite thinks Dingle is from Ma instead of Mi, lots of credibility there. After all Dingall has only been in congress for most of his life. THe MSM at it best.
BTW NOrquist is exactly doing nothing is better than doing the wrong which is usually what the socialist are trying to do. Especially since Bush generally doesn't have the stones to use his veto pen.

"How does (Miami-Ohio offensive lineman Brandon) Brooks not get invited to the combine? How did Vollmer not get invited to the combine? I don't know. We can't really worry about that. We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

tool-tastic!!!... hooray for excuse-making, never accept blame patsfan!!
when we have nothing else, let's label the opponent "socialist" and decree that anything they try to pass is the "wrong thing"... you're an idiot...

I don't agree with their agenda, I know you can't accept/deal with other POV's than you won too bad.

I'm still trying to figure out what point Agenda Boy was trying to make.
