Talking points? From Drudge?? Nah, its purely coincidence that every Republican on the air right now is talking about how Al Gore must be a hypocrite for flying on a private jet to Hollywood.

These instructions are not actually talking points from the RNC or anything. Its just that every Rape-ublican has come to the same conclusion at the exact same time.

I feel the same way. But I also want more control over my investments than simply letting the government decide which accounts/funds/plan I can contribute to. (which I do now anyway) IMO Thats why the Bush privatization plan went over like a lead balloon, it was too much like his "health care plan" - govt gets the money and decides where to put it. Um...no thanks, you do that now anyway. But Im getting off subject.

I was OK with their plan. It was basically the Federal Employee 401K which has a Small Cap, International, S&P 500, Bond Fund option. Total control ? Not even close. But still plenty of growth potential while limiting the risk (so no-one goes Enron with their retirement).

I'm sure if there was an electric plane, solar Train etc. Gore would ride it. He is trying to tell you that there is a problem, and we as a planet need to be aware of it, and as a race of humans need to try and fix it.

Statements like yours above are Fox/Hannity/Drudge talking points, and get us nowhere fast.

I didn't see anywhere in Gore's movie, or in his speeches where he says "Everyone needs to do this....or everyone needs to do that". You clearly haven't seen the film, or ignored it if you did. He lays out the problem, presents the evidence, and offers solutions. And all you can do is point fingers, and bash him.

What is so wrong about wanting to stop CO2, and methane from heating our planet? Why are you so offended by people trying to raise awareness about climate change? What are you afraid of?
How many private jets were waiting to whisk away the celebs after the show & parties last night? 100, 200?

Is Algore carbon neutral in his 3 houses and God knows how many vehicles? Is Algore carbon neutral as he jets around the world getting patted on the back for saving the world?

No need to deflect anything, I don't share the global warming faith that many of you have.

The day after all the empty hypocritical posturing by Algore and the celebs is an obivious time to highlight their silliness.

Quote:
Al Gore’s Personal Energy Use Is His Own “Inconvenient Truth”
Gore’s home uses more than 20 times the national average

Last night, Al Gore’s global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy.

Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

“As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk the walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use,” said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.

In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.
This doesn't of course include his other residences or the fuel consumed in his jet setting lifestyle.

If the GW crowd isn't saying we should all change our lifestyle, just what the hell are they suggesting we do about their global warming 'crisis'?

Ok guys, we might as well give up.

Lets face it,

Our master plan to bring world socialism to America by inventing global warming, blaming it on the rich people, and having them all killed and their assets divided up amongst all the unwed crack mothers has been sniffed out. Detective Quiggy is on the case.

AAB you might as well deactivate the planet heating device.
