Default Republican campaign leader: "Screw the Buddhists and kill the Muslims"

These are the new leaders of the Duncan Hunter campaign for president...

Hunter taps like-minded conservatives in S.C. to lead campaign

By SEANNA ADCOX
Associated Press Writer

COLUMBIA, S.C. | Republican presidential candidate Duncan Hunter on Thursday named a South Carolina adviser who boasted about telling an illegal immigrant worried about an abused child to "get back to Mexico."

At a news conference at the Statehouse, Horry County Auditor Lois Eargle talked up her hard-line stance on illegal immigrants. The former county GOP chairwoman said an illegal immigrant with three children came to her office this week asking for free legal help for an abused child.

"I told her the best thing for her to do was to get back to Mexico," Eargle said.

[...]

Hunter also named former state Rep. Tom Marchant and Dr. Henry Jordan campaign co-chairmen. Jordan made headlines nearly a decade ago for his disparaging comments about Muslims and Buddhists.

An unsuccessful candidate for lieutenant governor both in 1996 and last year, Jordan said in May that science does not support Darwin's theory that man evolved from monkeys. He said students should learn "intelligent design" along with evolution.

"I mean you've got to be stupid to believe in evolution, I mean really," he told The Associated Press then.

This is what Hunter's new campaign manager, Harry Jordan, had to say about Buddhists and Muslims back in 1997...

COLUMBIA, S.C. (May 16, 1997 12:25 p.m. EDT) -- A state Board of Education member, talking Tuesday about displaying the Ten Commandments in public schools, had a ready suggestion for groups who might object to it.

"Screw the Buddhists and kill the Muslims," Dr. Henry Jordan said during the board's finance and legislative committee meeting. "And put that in the minutes," he added.

The hatred coming from the radical Republican party is disturbing to say the least.

These people are definately at the far end of the spectrum, lots of Republicans are much more moderate.

Why can't you believe it? The guy can say anything he wants. It's up to the people to decide whether or not they want to support such retards. Paul Byrd was a KKK recruiter, he's supported by the Dems right? David Duke, a former repub, was in the KKK too. There are loons in both parties.

They are every bit as radical as Muslim extremists. These guys present a bad face for our country.
