DUBAI, UAE, 21 February 2007. Code named by US military planners as TIRANNT, "Theater Iran Near Term" has identified several thousand targets inside Iran as part of a "Shock and Awe" Blitzkrieg, which is now in the final planning stages.
According to the Kuwait-based Arab Times, an attack on Iran under TIRANNT could occur any time between late February and the end of April. This assessment, however, does not take into account the disarray of US ground forces in Iraq as well as the untimely withdrawal of several thousand British troops from the Iraq war theater, many of whom were stationed in Southern Iraq on the immediate border with Iran.

Our military should have the planning to hit any country that could be a potential threat to us. And that includes Russia and China.
For example, how do you know that Iran's leader doesn't plan to nuke our military forces in Iraq? Huh? Or how about wipe Israel off the map?
Bah.....we have contingency Op plans for EVERYWHERE......this is not anyhting new. The military would be stupid NOT to do operational planning for every scenario.

If we attack Iran, it will be a big story. If we don't, it's a non-story.
Watching the news, you'd think we attacked them yesterday.

having a plan in place to pre-empt against potential enemies; and spending hundreds of millions of dollars for maneuvers and sending three carrier groups off the coast two totally different things, ... so please don't minimize our current deadly serious posturing against Iran...
for those not aware, our Fascists in office had better hope this "blitzkrieg" (what an appropriate term) is 100% thorough in destroying every target, because the Iranians hold many missle batteries in the bordering mountain ranges quite capable of demolishing U.S. bases in the region...

I believe this administration is looking for an excuse to attack Iran, just as it was with Iraq. Arming Iraq with weapons is not an excuse for an attack, tho it looks like a case is being made. The sad part is even if there was a real threat to our security, who believes anyone in this administration.

Unfortunately, 70 million evangelicals still do... they're along for the ride, unwittingly adhering to the tenets of fascism in ways they can't even fathom ...
Curious, when the Soviets were arming the Viet Cong, were we making plans to "teach them a lesson?" ... When the Chinese were arming the North Koreans, were we sending three carrier groups to Taiwan?

A military strike would probably be a waste in that sense. We'd get some targets sure, but from what I gather, the nukes, and really important stuff, is deep underground. When you take that into account, and add what an attack would do to instill patriotism into the more moderate protion of the population, you come to the conclusion that an attack is not in our best interests. However, that doesn't say that one won't happen. When I consider it all, I come to the same conclusion. This build up is all aimed at a negotiation of sorts. Of course, I've been saying for years that Iran will go nuclear and we can't do anything about it.
