Default $46,000 Cadillac For Deval

Looks like politics as usual on Beacon Hill... Well, at least he isn't using a police chopper as his own personal mode of transport...

http://www.boston.com/news/local/mas...e_of_cadillac/

Best line of the article... "He said he is looking at retrofitting the car for biofuel." I couldn't point to a more moronic, liberal thing for an individual to do...

Did you read the same article as I did, funny how two people read the same article and come up with two different conclusions, funny how if you take something out of context it means something completely differnet. You sound like Gerry Callahan.. the angry white man rant.

For example your comments on the biofuel:
"Patrick, who pledged during the campaign to convert the state's automobile fleet to hybrids, said that he considered one for himself, but that State Police wanted "something with giddyap."

He said he is looking at retrofitting the car for biofuel."

You did not say that this was one of only two vehicle choices offered by the Mass State Police:

"Asked whether he recognized that he might come under fire for leasing a Cadillac, particularly while he is struggling to close a projected $1 billion budget gap, Patrick said: "I'm sensitive to the fact that I might be criticized for the tie I wear every day. I'm sensitive to that, but I can't be controlled by it."

Patrick aides said the only other option offered by the State Police was a Chrysler 300C, at an estimated cost of $37,000, but wouldn't say why they ultimately chose the Cadillac DeVille DTS."

Funny how a liberal apologist like yourself can defend the guy no matter what he does

By the way, why didn't you mention the part about im taking helicopter rides...? You know, the part that said Mitt Romney took one single helicopter ride in his entire term and Deval has already taken 2 (at great taxpayer expense)...? Why didn't you mention that...?

Not defending him at all, just stating that you are taking the article out of context.. I enjoy the truth not a particular parties talking point... I am a liberal on many things, but a conservative on many others.

I will put whatever quote I want in my signature and I will name or not-name the person however I damn well feel like.

If memory serves, when I first called out the bigoted scumbag for his hate filled post, you didn't believe me. You asked for a reference - which I gladly provided - before going into lapdog mode to defend the indefensible.

Ah, but there are miles of difference between that statement and calling him a "Nazi Pope". Even you in your treasonous, feeble minded ways can make that distinction.

I have not taken a single thing out of context. Deval is now tooling around in a $46,000 luxury car. His predecessor went around in a car worth roughly half that amount. He's the governor. He can drive around in whatever car he damn well wants, and what he wants is for the taxpayers to pay for his top-of-the-line, ultra-luxury vehicle.

Ain't nothing out of context about that and all you apologists need to face reality. It's just politics as usual in the Commonwealth.

What kind of $23,000 car was Romney driven around in?

I dunno GA, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but this is pretty indefensible. Actions speak louder than words. What was wrong with Romney's Crown Vic? Why not take the cheaper car then if given only a choice of two? Why two helicopter rides in less than 2 months? I read today that he's hired a press aid, at $72,000 a year, for his wife. When you talk one way, and move another, it speaks volumes to me. I know these incidents may seem petty to some, but again, apply principle and they're not as petty. It's just sad to see him tax about raising meal taxes 2% on one hand, and then leasing a Caddy for $1,166 a month on the other. Little things, yes, but still somewhat telling. Basically, these clowns are all the same.
